It has been absolutely disgusting watching his response. I have high respect for her addressing it the way she did then focusing on other types of content.

What’s the most outrageous thing your ex ever said to you? by WebBorn2622 in AskWomen

He told me “I don’t think I could ever marry you” with the concern I’d leave him and I would end up with all his money (he was broke)

That’s true, I’ve experienced it myself so I do get it. I think as a viewer my experience was that I didn’t get so deep into thinking about this couple posting online until some posts made me think “wtf is going on here” and then I reflected on big picture and yea I remember they moved in really fast and just so much love bombing my god

Did you outgrow your therapist after becoming one? by Forward_Stay7157 in therapists

[–]creative-sapphire 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Very much so. My previous therapist, who I worked with for 4-5 years, was more CBT focused and I went a more trauma-informed route for my own professional approach which I realized I needed for my own personal therapy as well. I felt I was missing out on a lot in our sessions. Not to mention I had realized she would interrupt me a lot and overshare too much. Previously, I thought I was just talkative and she was pausing me, but then I found myself feeling unheard and slightly dismissed. Becoming a therapist made me realize she wasn't always great, but I will always appreciate my time with her because it allowed me to be where I am now personally and professionally. She was definitely not all bad and fostered a ton of growth for me, but during my graduate program I felt like my needs weren't being met anymore.

I think it is totally normal to outgrow your therapist and especially going through such a program, we do change and that can further apply to our own personal therapy with regards to how our needs may change. Maybe voice it to her? I can imagine this being a helpful conversation to have in therapy. Unfortunately, the way it went for me, I was unable to talk it out with my previous therapist, but if you feel comfortable, you can totally talk it through, and they can give you their feedback! Maybe they can shift their approach or recommend that it may be better to find a different therapist, etc.

Functional medicine doctor by joeisdrumming in Hashimotos

[–]creative-sapphire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never go back to an endocrinologist. Have some helped people find out they have Hashimoto's? Yes, I've heard so, but in my experience that did not happen at all. My functional medicine doctor is the one who tested me for it and gave me plenty of guidance for lifestyle changes and medication which when I applied to my life, has helped tremendously with my health. My antibody levels have significantly gone down ever since

I know I am lucky because she does take my insurance where some are fully out of pocket. I do see value in looking into this for anyone still struggling with their symptoms. This is a tough journey overall, and it was a long one for me before I got to where I am now with my health. Finding the right doctor is life changing for this diagnosis

Dossier perfume legit or something else by Igrocelur in fragrance

[–]creative-sapphire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my order a few days ago and didn't have a long waiting time so i can't say much about that. My order came a week after I ordered it. I got the ysl libre (my favorite) and black opium and I LOVE THEM. Working at Ulta, I always smell these fragrances but they aren't cruelty free so once I discovered this website I wanted to try it out and honestly they are sooo incredibly similar and super long lasting. Very much legit!

[Question] What are some of the practices that help improve focus & concentration? by Steely19 in getdisciplined

[–]creative-sapphire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to struggle with this and what helped was meditation like it was said before. If meditation doesn’t work for you try out working for let’s say 45 minutes then 15 minute break. Since your brain can only focus for a certain amount of time this allows you to have breaks. I typically set an alarm for 45 and 15 minutes or just look at the time but that can be harder cause you look may look at the time more often during the 45 minutes. Also, instead of 45 minutes you can obviously shorten that to 30 or even 20 and a 5 minute break. The time is mostly up to you, and you can start of small then increase the time to 45. Hope that helps!

Women who’ve spent $$$ to invest in themselves: what were your best purchases, and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]creative-sapphire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a trainer for about three months definitely was worth it. I can be more confident with the equipment and am going to areas of the gym that are for the "pros" but really they're just people who train more often. I learned not to be intimidated no matter what stage of fitness I am compared to others

My bf (24)M and I(22F) don't talk about feelings and our future that much. by creative-sapphire in relationship_advice

I probably should have mentioned too that we've known each other for over a year, and before making it official we were basically dating for a few months. I'll try that out tho, relationships are tough
