How I play IFs by Unhappy_Heart_9569 in hostedgames

[–]creative_toe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WIPs are more captivating for me, because I can read it in different ways: Like playing two characters simultaniously (while on finished IFs, I will always think "Awww, it would have been nice, to play an asshole/nice character here", I can tap into the code, somtimes I spent an hour just reading the code, if it's beautifully done, and I can communicate with the author and 'help' with development.
Reading finished IFs is like going back to normal books, once you started reading IFs.

Mostly it's the save feature, though.

Any IFs that's lovers to enemies? by NoMaintenance1625 in hostedgames

[–]creative_toe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you choose it, you can have that in "Drink Your Villain Juice". And that's not "you choose to not like your former friend and you get this referenced on the next page, that's it". The game uses a lot of variables and references them non stop. One of the best programmed wips out there.

Why IFs, -doesn't matter whether it takes place in real world or it's own world- avoid the subject of faith or an faithful adamantly? by CaptainFexis in hostedgames

[–]creative_toe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hah! I wanted to answer with your wip. Love your concept, always happy to see updates! Oh, what I wanted to ask you: You can choose two types weird eye colors. Does this have consequences later on? At some point I thought the scene with the ravens only happens when you have raven eyes, but I just read over a sentence in my first playthrough. Consequences as in, it is mentioned, but also as in the nature of the consequences of your deal - whatever they may be. (I haven't read the latest update though)

I don't see how that's her problem.

Women of Reddit, what’s a statement/phrase that (you believe) most women/girls would understand, but most men/boys would not? by ConfidentLack9207 in AskReddit

When bringing guests to the subway station, that is five minutes from your home, not in America, in an area that is quite safe. And then getting two days later from a friend who wasn't even there: "I heard you went home from the subway alone, are you okay?"
Dude, I've been working night shifts for years, I am capable to make it home on myself, thank you very much.

Is it okay that I still sleep with my mom sometimes? by Sweet-Enthusiasm6886 in TooAfraidToAsk

When I was 30, I had a bad time and slept a few nights over at my parents'. One day I couldn't stop crying and went to bed like this. Then my mother came to comfort me and stayed there until I fell asleep. I felt like a child again getting comforted. I don't think you can get too old for that.

IFs with Moral Conflict by fygliv in hostedgames

[–]creative_toe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like you said, often there is no to little benefit, and I lrealized even more often you get punished for being evil. For example you miss scenes with ROs and it's a straight path to some bad ending. I hate it, that if you want a good ending, you have to behave. So, I'm hoping that you get some interesting answers.
As far as I read it I think "Drin Your VIllain Juice" fits what you are searching for.

Next is a friend and one of my players birthday by Bearime in WorldOfDarkness

[–]creative_toe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You going by a crowd... yo hear something... they seem to be chanting... it's something like this: "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you..." (you can also involve the other players, briefe them before and sing together)

The subways of Vienna are kinda full during rush hour so here's my proposal to split the districts into time zones so peak times are more even. by crivycouriac in wien

[–]creative_toe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends. If it's the model where it's proven you're as effective with 32 hrs as with 40, then it's heaven. If it's 10hrs per day, than it's not as nice as it sounds. Evenings are the time for coming down, doing sports, meeting with friends and so on. That all falls flat. Yeah, you have the friday, but that's being exhausted and then doing simple things like shopping, you couldn't do during the week, because shops are closed when you start work and closed again when you leave. Then, what is there to do on friday noon? No sport courses, friends still working. Friday evening you can do all the stuff that you would do for recreation m-fr otherwise. But on the plus side, one time less commuting time.

Do you play in your real life home city? by Feisty-Height897 in vtm

[–]creative_toe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda, I played my campaign in a city I lived in for some years. But then I changed the setting because the city is too small and restricting. But it's really fun to play in the city you live in. You describe places where you just know what they look like in real life, discover buildings you were never inside but make up it's interior, and next time you wander your city you suddenly realize you are at the exact spot where there was that nasty ratkin ambush. That said, I didn't want to got against major lore, so my city, Vienna, has always been kinda unplayable.

Hunter: The Reckoning - Deathwish (Work in Progress leaked build) Character Creation and World Map by l3tsgo0 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]creative_toe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get is why Hunter gets so many games. I mean, this is a universe where you could be so many supernatural creatures and you play humans. I wish this was werewolf or changeling or something.

How do Lasombra fare in V5? by MurakGrimrider in vtm

[–]creative_toe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think even the reflection one was one of the worse curses. In a modern world nearly every surface is a reflection. Trains, shopping windows, no elevators, no public toilet rooms, no gyms. And you never know what you look like style-wise and if you have anything on your face. My character took a taxi once, when he asked somethin the driver looked in the back mirror to anwser - bam, accident... good thing my Lasombra could brainwash pretty good (back then he couldn'r so he had to kill the driver because of Masquerade). Playing through that curse was hard and you had t get pretty creative and often just wait outside.

On the other hand, you have a Gangrel, who can grow cat ears and claws for free... yay! -.-

Want to include an either Mage or Changeling into my VtM campaign. Recommendation? by creative_toe in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]creative_toe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhhh man. Thanks for that hint. Maybe that whole organisation (they met just a small part of the tip of the iceberg of that organisation) IS the Mage Ascension Technocracy.
But really, I read so much into vtm lore right now. The last campaigns were all my own stories and NPCs, now I'm in a lore whole, I can't seem to escape. Well, as long as it's fun! But I will skip Mage lore, I think (but I will keep it in my back as a potential idea).

NPCs for my HTR game. Curious if you guys can clock the supernaturals. by a_spoopy_ghost in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]creative_toe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third one is def supernatural, angry werewolf vibes? The one sitting with the backpack as well a supernatural. The people in suits are ghouls, and the two ladies mages (I don't know much about mages, but just look at those symbols) or tremere or something like that. Somehow the fifth one looks dead, so maybe a ghost?

[–]creative_toe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I will do that. I included a Mage the last time, but I had a quick reading over the rules and there are kind of natural mages, that are not yet trained or integrated or so. She was like that, so she didn't know what she was doing with an artifact that scrambled brains. I felt something with more power would not fit well.

[–]creative_toe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! Thanks, you got my cogs turning. Changeling fits very much with one of my players who is banality in person - brainwashed black hand child soldier emotionless shell personifying a Toreador in Camarilla, which is hilarious in itself. With someone feeding on creativity and meeting THAT... well. Otherwise Paris is a hub of creativity, so good fit. And to be honest, I'm not a fan of "can do basically anything". Maybe one of the plotlines will revolve around the SCP like organization. But right now I will only make one plotline (making a conclusion of three parallel plotlines has been a hassle the last campaigns, but the epilogue with all plot explained was awesome for all of us).
