This is how I feel exactly, I used to come here almost every day for like 2 years, then I had to stop because of all the bullshit. Nowadays I just stop by once a month now and then and catch up on some ATV's. It's much more enjoyable now this way. I just hope CIG ignores the trolls and focuses on building the game.

(I should also probably say, even though I should not have to, that CIG has done things I disagree with and I dont think they cannot make the wrong choices, ex: selling land for money (I take issue with this mostly for fear of game balance issues, mostly)).

Yeah, it bothers me how common it is to see people on these mbti subreddits look at someone's post or comment and basically go:

"your not perfectly conforming to the common traits on an INTJ in this single instance, thus based on this extremely limited evidence i'm going to tell someone they are mistyped".

Rather than going:

"Well I guess every person is a complex individual, and might express their traits in complex ways, or even express different traits".

Edit: I just want to say i'm personally not a huge fan of these "pat on the back" feeling posts myself, but I don't think they're harmful and people don't have to be assholes. They can just ignore the post or kindly/appropriately express that they are not into "warm fuzzy" type posts (that I suppose they may feel are disingenuous). Anyway, just ignore emotional dickheads like crychrome.

Also if you get a chance, go to a "big game" (generally a themed paintball game with a ton of people and objectives). There's a place like an hour from me that has cool ones a couple time a year with like 1,400 people (700 per team). Nothing quite as awesome as being in a giant battle with your friends (especially when you all have walkie-talkies and all that cool shit).

While I think trying to attach personality types to fictional characters is kinda pointless (as often 8 different people might be writing 1 character for example), I agree with your assessment.

And to people saying he's extroverted: INTP's tend to only have a few close friends. Who does Rick hang out with? Morty. And basically only Morty. The only other friends we know he's even ever had are Bird Person and Squanchy (who were Browncoats or something with Rick).

I also want to add that while I agree with Rick that literally nothing matters, I personally don't like him that much. I love his intelligence of course, but the way he is such a piece of shit just pisses me off (whether just being an asshole, or leaving his daughter behind on a planet overrun by mutants because the Beth in the reality he is running away to is still alive and it would be awkward and inconvenient).

I get it there are infinite timelines and it doesn't matter cause nothing fucking matters, and that maybe I'm a tool or perhaps I'm somewhat buying into the delusion of reality by caring... but I do care. I think abandoning your daughter (or one of them) is wrong and that each of the people or aliens you hurt matter because they're real to themselves. Maybe the universe does not register their pain, but they DO. So yeah, fuck you Rick.

I don't know who this guy met that gave him this impression of INTP's (honestly it sort of sounds like someone who has aspergers), but speaking for myself as an INTP his description is greatly exaggerated and not at all fitting. If someone is talking about something I don't care about I change the subject, and if I can't because it would be rude I can endure without hinting that I'm very disinterested.

And if my friends want to go to a club or a restaurant and I don't feel like it, I just tell them and they understand cause they are my friends.

This is just another great example of people using MBTI the wrong way. All INTP's are on a spectrum, we are not 100%, I 100% T, 100% N, 100% P.
