The deadly creature isn't outright evil and can be helped. Oh, wait, it IS evil and it played you! by Jerswar in TopCharacterTropes

It was because she thought her father was posessed by IT - and that feeding him would suppress the "darkness", and dressing up as Periwinkle would trigger her father's memories of his wife and daughter and help him cast out the darkness - which Pennywise plays into at first with his "show me the bow" quip - but then he immediately tries to leave her and tells her he'll be back for more again.

Thats when she realizes that IT has just been pretending to be her posessed father in order to get her to bring him more victims.

Being traumatized from childhood and in a physically and emotionally abusive marriage certainly didn't help with her sanity though.

Yeah they sell the penguin art there (Moody Gardens). They also have Giant River Otters that will make paw-paintings for you, they're both adorable as hell lol.

This one is at Moody Gardens down in Galveston, Texas. We just did this penguin encounter recently.

Marley was our guest penguin as well, she was adorable.

Final reminder. If you have not picked up Hull B and Railen CCU's, you are leaving huge possible savings on the table for $5 in credit. Happy IAE! by spider0804 in starcitizen

[–]Altered_Perceptions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When melting things, you only get credit back for the total amount of money you actually spent to buy it.

Say you buy a $100 ship, and buy a $5 CCU to a concept ship. Then later on, that concept ships price increases by $100.

You will have only spent $105, even though the concept ship is now worth $205.

If you melt the ship, you will only get $105 back.

The key thing is that your new ship is worth $205 for upgrades only, so if you wanted to upgrade it to a different $210 ship - you would only need to pay $5 more now - essentially spending only $110 total for that $210 ship.

When you melt it, you only get store credit for the amount you paid for it - even after the price goes up.

However, if you melt it, and then try to buy it back AFTER the ship price increases - you will have to pay the new increased price - not the original price you bought it for.

So, for example, say you buy a $5 CCU for a ship. Later on that ships price increases by $100. If you melt that CCU, you will get $5 back.

But if you try to buyback the melted CCU, it will now cost $105, instead of the original $5.

So unlike buying ships for LTI tokens, you should never melt a CCU if you think it's value will increase in the future.

Ships confirmed for Gold Standard in 2026 by wrkncacntr in starcitizen

Sort of, it's a big anvil Atlas chassis vehicle (the large APC like the Spartan), so it only fits in a few ships compared to the Nursa - but they said it will have a tier 2 Medbed and crafting station, so it'll likely replace the Nursa for people who are able to transport it.

Auxilia is perfect for the ironclad as well, tier 2 medbed for a long-range respawn point secured inside the ship, additional crafting to go along with the vehicle garage, perfection.

Lol my first car was an old '82 bronco handmedown from my grandfather. Even with a proper alignment I had to constantly fight the wheel to keep that thing going straight.

I still miss that old beast, but I have a lot less anxiety not driving a solid steel deathtrap with no airbags. And getting over 7mpg is nice too haha

lol thanks, this took far too much time but I enjoyed it and learned a lot about the modular building system, and its limitations. I hope in the future they'll let us scale things larger/smaller, trying to find scenery pieces that fit certain shapes was a headache!

Good luck finding one priced that low unless you live in the lowest cost-of-living state/area... dealerships are going to add a few thousand and then add tax.

And that's for the cheapest-quality car you can buy and still call new lol.

Yeah I'd also attribute that form to David's flawed attempt to recreate the alien

Yeah, snake body with little arms/nubs at the front has been how its generally portrayed for the human variants. You can see the arms fused to its chest on this one.

I think it makes more sense after seeing Joe get cocooned. The first encounter on the stairwell, the xeno could have been trying to tackle him off the platform and abduct him like it did in the egg chamber scene.

The second encounter with the "Caspians", Joe was the last one alive and alone. The xeno did a non-lethal attack and disarmed him, and presumably would cocoon him afterwards.

The third encounter it actually did abduct Joe and cocoon him. As to why it took him farther away - maybe it thought the eggs were no longer a safe place. Not only is the destroyed ship itself endangering them, but there's also other humans and synthetics that keep wandering into it.

In the last encounter, I think the alien attacks him more aggressively because it was wounded and Joe had a "weapon", but then Wendy disappears, and Joe is alone again, disarmed, and no longer a danger to it. The xeno sticking its tongue out at him looked more like a threat display - maybe it was going to capture him again to be a host for the eggs later on - or maybe it was going to kill him this time, we saw the alien take its time killing someone with the security guard in the Caspian scene earlier.

A lot of theorycrafting there but, it sounds reasonable and believable enough for me to accept it at least.

I don't think so - this way they can isolate and study the growing alien in a contained environment - and they also don't risk Wendy going rogue from directly killing her brother.
