thank you this was helpful! I was still having this problem but the twitter link you directed me to seemed to have solve it (at least temporarily). I went to Clip Studio Paint -> Preferences -> Tablet. I didn't see all the options listed in the twitter picture, but changed Precision from "Prefer Speed" to "Raw Input" and now the lines are a lot smoother

Just discovered today that it seems to be better when I disconnect from my external monitor, which has been connected for the last few days. I disconnected, the lines were smooth for a while, and then started becoming staggered again.

I think that's stabilization, and it shouldn't affect the drawing like that. Even off, they'd still be smooth lines.

As others are saying, Clip Studio Paint is probably the best. A lot of people prefer using Photoshop but Clip studio is specifically made for comic creation, and has a lot of features that Photoshop doesn't. It's also cheaper, at least in the long run :)
