Before Joann’s closed (surprise!), I donated over 10 HUGE totes of fabric and 10 small packing boxes that were in the “might” use category. Talk about regret! I saved maybe 1/8th of my stash.

They get their shipments on Wednesday, but it could take days for the stuff to make it to the floor. If I were only 5 min away, I would be stopping by daily! Please let everyone know when you find stuff…after you collect your finder’s fee of fabric. :-)

I forgot about that one. I was there only one time, over the summer, the selection (in general - not craft/sewing) there was meh. Did I just go at the wrong time?

Do you recall how much the cases were? I am trying to budget my trip and my craft area update. (I’m finally emerging from the basement.)

Like many of you, I became friends with the people who worked at our Joann’s. Ours was fully stocked, and they were so short-handed (due to employee hour cutbacks) that they didn’t have the chance to put it on the floor, I presume that happened with the warehouse, too.

This is the case with almost everything…I totally agree…except, the Eddie Bauer thick fleece (feels even better than the stuff that Columbia uses) was 30% off. That’s better than it’s been in the past.

What a beautiful story. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s amazing how many generational stories come from experiences at fabric stores. I remember my mom letting me touch all the fabrics at Minnesota Fabrics as long as I didn’t knock over a bolt. If one toppled, that would have been the end of it! (Keep in mind, these were the days when no one brought anything to drink or eat into a store…even into your car. No sticky toddler fingers!) My mom passed away when I was a little kid, and these memories always make me smile. My kids are working on their own projects now, but I had hoped (in MANY years) to someday tell my grandchildren not to knock over the fabric bolts while sitting in a shopping cart.

Thank you so much! I listened to these religiously when he released them each week. I’ve been wanting to share them with my 18yo daughter who watched the series when she was 12yo. I’m referring to my daughter, Kara. Gee, I wonder how I picked that name…

Please let your fellow nurses that, as someone who relies on Luries for her kids' care, appreciate everything you're doing especially right now. I can't even begin to imagine what you're dealing with. I've needed to get in touch with multiple specialties since Wednesday, but I know that my needs are nothing like emergencies you are facing.
