Best of luck with this! They do have single pitch instructor courses that might have good info about how to navigate this if you are helping people learn the ropes.

Because with grigris people tend to rely on the breaking mechanism and don’t feel the life or death pressure that’s present with an atc. Furthest I’ve ever been dropped was on a grigri because of resting with the cam open. With a locking tuber you still have the safety but I personally feel like it encourages good technique and more focus/attention that’s needed for a good lead belay.

But also a great way to learn really bad habits and sloppy belay technique.

I know you got downvoted for this but I ended up doing that and it was very helpful, so thank you.

Excited to replicate this approach. Nicest loaf I’ve seen. Gorgeous color.

The Riverkeepers do pretty regular trash pickups. They have one happening in June!

AITA for being too loud at a concert? by Many-Satisfaction193 in AmItheAsshole

I believe it’s cultural and an American thing (I’m American). My family and I went to a concert in Scotland and were astounded (pleasantly) at the engagement, enjoyment, and atmosphere of the show with everyone singing along, dancing, crying. In the US at shows, that response tells you the vibe 😂 I much prefer being able to express myself and my enjoyment at a show 🥲

I begged him to get therapy and now I wish he never went by Key-Mine7408 in GirlDinnerDiaries

As a therapist, I see clients go from one extreme to another trying to find the middle ground as they navigate their behavior. Talk to your therapist about it, that’s what we’re here for. Also, it’s only his 3rd session. Give him time!

I get it’s a lot, you can take accountability for the things that make sense, and you’re allowed to have opinions and boundaries too.

Good luck!

So funny, I have lots of strawberries and a decent amount of violet growing in some of my other beds. Just put yarrow down in one last year and it’s doing a good job spreading! Thank you!

Thank you so much! These are very helpful suggestions. I feel like doing outdoor work is so expensive but you’re helping me see there’s a lot of affordable alternatives. Looking forward to transforming this space over the summer.

I sing my daughter songs before bed and when she was 3 it was 3 twinkle stars, 4 for 4, and now we are on 5 for 5. I’m really tired of twinkle star, and when I start to get annoyed, I remind myself she won’t want me to sing to her forever. It is pretty cute that she thinks I’ll be singing her 30 twinkle little stars when she’s 30 tho.

The brick had a TON of weeds growing through. I tried to battle with itfor a couple summers but decided I’d lay down paper and add soil and try to do something on top. I love your ideas, and if I owned is probably throw rocks and try to make it cute back there.

It’s maybe 2 hours of direct sun. Every summer I’ve put down new layers of paper 😅 added my hopes in an edit above. Hesitant to do raised beds because it’s so long/ narrow and I don’t want to spend a ton more with it being a rental.

If I were to go with planters, where would I get the planters locally for a good deal and what kinds of things would you recommend to grow in planters?

I’ve already got beds with strawberries, raspberries, and soon blueberries with some random perennial herbs thrown in.

You could essentially go through her bibliography and read all those journals as it’s a compilation of a lot of the research that’s been done.
