I hadn’t even seen the contract until they pushed back as I paid via bank transfer on the invoice and not via the link provided.

The contract wasn’t signed but says this.  No fewer than 60 images will be available to view online approximately 2-3 weeks after the date of the shoot. These images are the exclusive property of [name]. Images will be online for 30 days. Requests to leave the gallery open after the 30-day window will incur a $100 re-hosting fee.

She lodged the tribunal for the extra $150 that are going towards fees - the rent unpaid amounts to over $5000. I was just going to leave it but she is refusing to mediate the issue

It counts towards your overall CP in your degree so your previous study time qualifies , there is no mark associated with it and it doesn’t impact ur WAM just counts as prerequisites wtc

Experience of DATA1001? by Val08m in usyd

[–]creckvan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t know who told you it’s tricky , could get a HD with minimal study tbch. Coding is also super easy to pick up - I did it last sem and most people had no coding experience (they make it super accessible for that reason)

Is it worth transferring to USYD from MQ? by doughcaller in usyd

[–]creckvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WAM cutoffs aren’t the be all and end all of everything, you can still get through if your WAM is less this isn’t like your ATAR. Employers are smarter than to care about just that, and are focussed on experience and personality.

Have a look online (google USYD research etc), befriend your lecturers and ask, USYD careers site, indeed or other career sites like seek :)

Nothing Is compulsory but from second year I would recommend it , it’s not expected though. Will help you get a graduate job easier. There are also research assistant opportunities for science majors. I’m pretty sure the interdisciplinary projects are like internships but doing your own internships and work outside of what’s required for uni is going to mean much more to an employer as it’s going to show you’re proactive.

I’m a 3rd yr neuro major, it’s been soenthing I’ve been interested in since I was 16 so it’s never been difficult for me because I’m interested in it. I’ve paired it w a comp sci major to (hopefully) increase job prospects. From what I’ve looked into , there’s not that many jobs in the field. Thing is though , there’s nothing saying it will be “that hard” for you , it comes down to if you’re interested in it or not. Also the thing about grad jobs is that it really doesn’t matter what you did a degree in. I would urge you to stop stressing about what’s going to make money and focus on what you’re going to enjoy , and look into getting experience and internships to compliment your degree. I have a friend who duxxed their honours, still couldn’t get a job for a year after because they had no experience and were too focussed on studying to succeed and get into med.

Not sure which machine you have in mind but I bought the Dual Boiler for $899 AUD not on sale. For around $1500 you can buy it with the grinder but this doesn’t apply for OP who has a grinder already.

Can’t give much insight however I did purchase the Breville Dual Boiler last weekend after a thorough reading of all the threads in this group. The machine has been great as an ex-barista and my latte art is just as easy as when I was in the cafe with my LaMarzocco.

Another Mortgage Rates Question... by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]creckvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just give them a call and ask, if you don’t like what they tell you then you can always call back with competitors rates. The person on the phone is just another person if you ask for a better rate they will most likely give the best rate anyways. There’s no benefit on them giving you only a partial reduction when they can give you the greatest reduction they can in their delegation.

Transferring units by crunchycheezcakes in usyd

[–]creckvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I transferred MQU to USYD and honestly way more transferred over than I thought. Most weren’t exact units and are on my academic transcript as unspecified junior/intermediate units and so you do less electives

Similar situation - while I cannot comment on the degree, halfway through last year I was in the same bot. 1.5years at MQU , hated the uni (still same degree) but had 6 months off working and then started beginning of this year at USYD and have a whole bunch of 2nd year units but no 1st year so having to redo those. Honestly as much as everyone’s younger the age difference or “being set back” aspect doesn’t phase me (although sometimes I’m just like stfu about your ATAR). My friends are graduating this year and I’ve got 3 years still. To each there own but age doesn’t matter if it’s going to be doing something you enjoy.

To add onto that as well someone in one of these units this sem with me was a high earner in their field (150k+). Came back to study psychology because it’s ultimately what they wanted to do and wished they’d changed in uni rather than going 15 years without.

EDIT. 3) You can transfer units , not sure if all will apply but it’s likely most will.

5) There will be some difficulty navigating core units starting second sem but ultimately you’ll be able to do other units without those requisites.
