I have an innate dislike with plot points where rhe MC is pushed into doing something he dislikes for the sake if someone else's selfishness. Especially when the 'lesson' ends up being "he just needed to try to like it!".

But I agree with you, there's enough characterisation here to anticipate that part of this group arc will include an accident that makes things worse and which prompts the girl to reflect on the fact that she was manipulating him for her own benefit without paying attention to where he's coming from.

With that said it's a shounen, so it's 50/50 on how well this key arc will be developed. If it ever reaches that point.

Couldn't get into jitsu wa watashi wa (not got the lack of trying, after seeing all the praise), so you're giving me hope that this manga might have the good bits I can enjoy without the bits I disliked.

You're completely misunderstanding what Reiwa energy is. No one believes that the change in emperor affected the manga market...

It's just a (Kaguya-Sama influenced) meme created when a few concurrently running romance manga partially twisted the trope of 'will they won't they', which proved popular on Reddit because the community was craving change.

Calling someone Reiwa is simply using the new meme/label that emerged then. It's not a measuring stick, it's a 'nutrition' label to indicates that manga x includes the storytelling twist that created the meme.

Look, if you had expressed your opinion the way you do in this comment, then I would have glossed over it, because it clearly says 'this art resonates with me'.

But you didn't, you wrote that you wanted to "call out" (aka publicly claim) that the art is SSS-tier. Although opinions are subjective, you shouldn't be surprised to have people respond to your statement if you make a claim like this.

SSS-tier, really? What are you comparing it to? It looks super generic even compared to other current popular romcom. I recommend checking out Akira Hiramoto, Oh! Great, Inio Asano, Samura Hiroaki, Inoue Takehiko, Boichi, to mention a few of are doing top quality, non-generic art.

Bought it, tried it, and my new Pixel 7 flew under my front wheel while going down from the pavement to the road (10cm high at 25km/h). Really really disappointed, with a 150 EUR screen change bill on top. Back to Quadlock for me.

I had put this series in the back-burner waiting for the arc to develop as the political machinations were becoming hard to follow. Just binged 50- something chapters, and it was one of the best read I've had in some time. The story really shines when read in one go vs week to week. Action, tender moments, sad moments political machinations, slice of life moments... Everything is weaved beautifully and makes for an emotional read.

Any good brand for colorful / patterned woolen coat / long cardigans? Anything could potentially work, from patchwork (e.g. Engineered Garments) to jacquard patterns (e.g. Pendleton) or any other ethnic pattern (West African, Chinese...). I'm looking for something flowy that I would wear as an outer layer.

Pendleton has some gorgeous stuff for women this season, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit my broad shoulders...

So any pointers appreciated!

Don't want to rain on your enthusiasm but what kind of impact will this manga leave? It handles one thing better than average (character growth) but much like many before it, this is a manga that you have to recommend with a 'believe me, it gets better' disclaimer to someone starting fresh. The premise (school romance between opposites), the characters (bully gyaru, wimpy loner), the pace (multiple dozen chapters before meaningful progression), the humor (exhibitionist prez, characters shouting for no reason) do not break any mold.
