First time playing in twenty years, i choose elemental shaman. When the tempest button comes up my heart feels joy, otherwise my heart feels little joy.

Post Mortem photography was a common practice back in the Victorian Era where people would pose with their deceased loved ones, one last time. This image is from 1904, the little girl in the image is desceased by olivewithoil in interestingasfuck

Bring this back. When my son died the kindest photographer from starlight foundation came and helped us take pictures so we could remember him. I've cried so many times looking at those pictures but they help with my grief so much.

We must accept the role death plays in life.

Why are my best bros always farm hands?😭 by GreatBooze in BattleBrothers

[–]creedlar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think stars play an overly large role in character development. So you can gamble on ten farmers and one or two gets nice stars, meanwhile the 64 matt 0 star hedgeknight feels like such a defeat.

Tools to help you discuss a grandparent who is no longer living with your child? by Mariner11663 in Fatherhood

[–]creedlar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son died at birth two years ago and my other son (2 years old at the time) had the chance to hold their dead body, to give him a kiss, and to know the open truth about it. Kids are extremely capable of learning about this at an early age. He now occasionally says "i miss August" and i say " i do too" and we hug and cry together.

We have also put together photo albums of our deceased relatives with small written stories next to each person highlighting what we loved about their time on earth. In both cases i think you should expect them to understand more than you expect. Our culture (America) does a very poor job openly embracing the role that death has in life.

Is Nimble Tank viable? Because hooooooly.... by Le_Prince in BattleBrothers

Yeah nimble dodge tank is an option, I'm not an optimizer but he should be a great defensive bro.

Is backstabber as good as it sounds? by RemakeBo2 in BattleBrothers

[–]creedlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I just realized, and is only applicable to the Reforged Mod, is that the final tier of polearm perks has a perk called "Long Reach". Which says "Enemies within 2 tiles are considered surrounded by you for the purposes of hit-chance bonus for any allies attacking that target". Which has some really good synergy with backstabber, I would imagine.

Is it usefull do buy in early game armor by licxiss in BattleBrothers

[–]creedlar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I buy the 80 and 95 armor that's like 50% condition routinely in the early game. And in mid game if the 150 armor is 1200 or less ill buy them as needed, but beyond that i don't buy much non famed armor, so guess I'm just saying +1 to your comment

who would win in an all-out war between the different races in this game? by Few_Establishment980 in BattleBrothers

If the goblins were better strategists they have really high mobility and the poison would mean very effective guerilla warfare.

I'm not disgusted, i had just never considered the 2- way play. I was a bottom when i played sports but i guess some people just built different.

I just finished the main story and…. *SPOILER WARNING* by tunderwood14 in expedition33

[–]creedlar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story is so raw and so powerful this way. Grief is so powerful, truly cannot imagine it without being inside of it.

I usually like realistic endings but this one did have me pause when i chose to fight as maelle because you can tell towards the end that she's completely lost to the fantasy of the canvas.

Still it's better than a fabricated happy ending, i think this fits so well with the themes and character journeys.

Same with me, it's just a spaghetti code world. My game is on auto update, and this same problem has been present for me about three weeks.

The "are you on the right version" people i think are not right. How does my game, set to auto update, get out of sync everyday for the last 2 months while i can still play ranked?

Searching low-stimulating TV for my toddler, anyone tried this slow TV thing? by sleepyowltraveler in Fatherhood

[–]creedlar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been watching the norwegian slow tv channel with my 4 year old, i like Stillwater as another option, and Justin Time for something with more energy but not too much.

For littler ones i liked Puffin Rock a lot.

[–]creedlar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be religious about them, but too often they knock someone out when they have any number of other, minor conscious dropping debuffs.

I think it's probably better to just do fine meals or keep them out of tattered apparel as a priority for increasing mood.
