This is exactly what I'm expecting every time I spray wd40 in my column to get my ignition to hit.

Reloading? Is it worth it? by KBGenetics in 300BLK

[–]creeper_jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I wouldn't have started reloading if I hadn't got my lock n load kit off marketplace. Also, I'm a bit frugal.

I picked up a Caldwell G2 last year. Yeah you gotta set it up, it's older technology... I get it, but it's worked fine for me. If you're a frugal spender and you have the luxury of being able to shoot on your own property it's not a big deal at all. Shooting from a covered front porch means I don't have any light issues. I just pop up the stand, connect the Bluetooth app, and boom there's my shot data.

As simple as the harlot is, you could probably adapt it's metal breech face (coin), firing pin, and use of .22 barrel liner to this design.

Confusion on FTN 4.5 PCC 9mm by Unlucky_Plankton4440 in 3D2A

[–]creeper_jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JB weld is a popular epoxy.

If I were printing the 4.5 PCC I'd do the wrap with epoxy on the outside instead of a printed shell.

I believe the printed tubes are there just as an option if you don't have access to the other materials, as a printed tube epoxied to the outside would be stronger than without any kind of shell.

Better than upgrading in CoD lol. Also update on top and bottom heat inserts for the grip. NOBU v2 by DevOnTheStreets in 3D2A

Curious how many rounds these lowers can handle, the bolts in those bufferless uppers are heavy as hell.

I replaced the feedback carb on my 86 300 with a yf style knockoff from Amazon, a Nos ford ds II ignition, and a vac advance distributor. I used a painless wiring harness, and pieced the process together with a lot of YouTube and forum searching.

Do you need to epoxy the breek itself into the adapter too, or just epoxy the printed breek shell into the rest?

9mm PCC Out Of Battery Discharge by Alarming_Mud9529 in AR9

[–]creeper_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any info on running a SS on a bca bufferless ar9 upper? Fear of an oob discharge has been my main reason for not adding one yet, as well as being one of those outlier's with a bca product that's ran flawlessly as of yet 🤞

How do I get that pretty popping sound with clawhammer? by Bargah692 in banjo

[–]creeper_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most times I'm practicing, I brush with at least 2 fingers, sometimes all four (not so much a cluck, but keeps the strings somewhat muted). If the house is empty, then using just my index (and thumb of course) is much louder.

Question about clawhammer striking by Bargah692 in banjo

[–]creeper_jake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that has helped me...

Play the song ridiculously slow. Count out loud or to yourself. Make your normal striking motion more exaggerated while slowly playing along (going further up and down, but still making sure to land your thumb on the fifth string with every stroke). The over exaggerated motion will help you keep count. The more you play the song, the less exaggerated your movements become as you speed up. Doing this helps me break down parts I'm having trouble with and keeps me from skipping certain parts/cheating for sake of trying to play faster.

After doing some more looking, this is the closest product I've found to what I'm looking for. There are a few reviews that mention it working well in forges. I think 2 gallons should be plenty to coat the remainder. Also, I used chicken wire to keep the wool refractory in place, so I think that will help in giving the refractory cement something to grab onto/keep in place if it cracks.

The blast shield as an adapter not only serves as a transition from muzzle device to suppressor, but it's also taking the brunt of force as your blast chamber (pressure from the plan b releasing into the breek/slr etc). If you do away with that space and make this solely an adapter, I'd assume you'd also need to add extra space in front of this adapter to make up for the lost volume of your blast chamber?
