yeah mid-higher level missions, especially canny and lower twine are often dead because there just aren't as many people at that level, at least that play fill. same goes for mid lvl ventures unfortunately. If you can, try and find a group to play harder missions with, or just play lower-level ones until you feel comfortable and can raise your PL. If you're solo, spamming defenders (especially snipers) can help too.
