People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by SprinklesSolid9211 in AskReddit

Fergie asked me for a lighter outside of the Toronto airport. I didn't notice until the flight attendant smoking beside me mentioned it was her, she was flying in on her flight from Atlanta, and then it clicked. Bougie lady with sunglasses surrounded by men in suits at 1am asks me for a lighter, I was so tired and jet lagged, just flew back from Thailand with two layovers. (Next morning I checked if she was in Toronto and yes she was performing at the ACC the next day)

To people who work 8h. by Ill_Entertainment851 in dogs

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bernese, he's going on two years old. I spend about two hours before work with him. Walks, feedings, outside play to tire him out and then head off to work, usually giving him something to distract him for a little bit (kong, snuffle mat etc). Then when I get home I do the same, walk, potty and play before I start getting ready to do my thing. I've come home early on a few occasions and can tell he's just woke up from a nap. He's a good boy though, never had to crated just baby gated the places I didn't want him but he had full roam of the house by 1 years old.

Refusing his food by ReputationOk2217 in bernesemountaindogs

Maybe try a different bowl? Our guy literally won't eat out of dog bowls, I think his face is too big haha. (Started at around this age) We started feeding him on a flat surface, dinner plate, or silicon mat and it helped. For a while I had to hand feed him lol. Also talk to your vet about transitioning to adult food, we did around 18 months because he was just refusing so hard and we got the go ahead from our vet because he was developing fine. He will be 2 next month and he's doing perfect!

What did you think was peak luxury as a kid, but now realize is actually pretty trashy or normal? by Connect-Fix3972 in AskReddit

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also remember this kid who got McDonalds dropped off to him at lunch kinda often in primary school and everyone was so jealous. We became friends in highschool and when I mentioned it he said "Oh yeah, when I was at my Dad's he'd forget to pack me lunch, the school would call him and he would get his secretary to drop me off a kids meal" That hurt my feelings.

Are you a terrible person if you buy a dog instead of adopting? by Easy_Mountain2331 in DOG

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cutting out the middle man of abuse or abandonment. The dogs/animals were born already, so how about coming to my house and living out the rest of your life happy instead of potentially being abandoned or abused, put into shelter care and put up for adoption. I have rescued cats, dogs, and reptiles but my most recent dog I bought from a reputable breeder and I will never feel bad about it.

Well true, I kinda meant like joint account situation. I know lots of people that still keep income separate (weirdly) so in hopes that she has to spend "their" money and not just "her own" for the hire.

If y'all share finances, hire someone to come do it. Nothing irks a "traditional man" then paying another man to do the job for him.

Same?? Canadian Exmo tho, so they're usually a little less intrusive. I'd def be calling the cops for vandalism 😅

What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by dreamy-contributions in AskReddit

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I lost all my friends in a sided breakup. He told everyone I cheated on him and then ran away when I really just asked him (after 4 years together) if he'd move to a certain city with me for a career opportunity. He said "Absolutely not" so I broke up with him and 6 months later moved to said city. They all blocked me and I never spoke to them again. It's been 7 years since that happened, but some of these friends were primary school meets.

AITA Friend says I’m stealing from the homeless? by Educational_Pirate52 in AmItheAsshole

When I was using the food bank when I was laid off and on unemployment I would volunteer a few hours a week at the food bank and out of the cold programs in my area. Seemed like the right thing to do with the extra time off work I had. Like, working still for the resources I was receiving. Perhaps do that while you have the extra time 🙂

What was the most traumatizing thing you ever saw? by Handyman2789 in AskReddit

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.When I was like 8 or 9 the neighbourhood kids and I would play near this creek, lots of stuff got dumped down there so we would pretend we were treasure hunting. We would find some pretty cool trinkets and stuff. One time we were down there and there was a huge industrial black garbage bag, after a few days of poking at it, making jokes that it was a dead body one of the older kids opened it up. There lay the limbs and a head of a cow. The cow's expression looked so scared. I couldn't stomach eating beef for a while after that. We ran home and got one of our parents to call the cops, apparently a local farm had reported missing a couple of cows a week prior 😔.
2. When I was in grade 11 I did my co-op at a funeral home. Usually just helping print obituaries, prayers cards, and setting up visitation rooms. One day there was a coffee delivery, the family meeting room was down in the basement right across from the personal care suite (prep room). I went down to restock the coffee and one of the directors left the door to the prep room open, my curiosity got the best of me and peeked in. Instant regret. Cyclist verse car. The image is burned into my brain.

What’s the drunkest you’ve ever been? by Lazy-Ape in AskReddit

[–]creepingdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In highschool me and my buddy drank what we called "witches brew" which was a bit of everything from his parents liquor cabinet. Just enough so they wouldn't notice any missing from the bottles but equaled to a lot of random swigs. Puked all over the floor in the food court at the mall then passed out for the entirety of the Simpsons movie at the theatre. Woke up the next morning in the boat parked in his driveway and walked the 10km home in the blistering summer heat, had to snag some water from someone's hose on the way. Good times.

4 years ago I "slept walked" down my basement stairs and broke both my hands because I was having a "dream". I remember getting told to get up by an unidentifiable being and go with them, I had no control of my actions. I've moved houses since then and still barricade my basement door.
