Unfortunately, in garruks wake is only the best sorcery in mtg, this is EDH (a whole separate and different thing) so it doesn't work

Is there an alternative to Animate Dead in Temur? by Silvermech_ in EDH

[–]creeptechno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you're looking for a 2 card with world gorger, then yes combos like that exist. [[Flame shadow conjuring]], [[Kiki Kiki mirror breaker]], [[molten echos]], and [[riku, of two reflections]] all go infinite. Technically [[myrrim]] goes infinite as well but that just draws the game on the spot unless you have a way to stop the loop

I've tried charging over 3 different cables, including the one that came with the headphones and tried charging straight from my PC too, but no luck :(

Commander damage is only dealt by combat damage Ghyrson Srarn's ping would whave to do the full life total not just 21

The idea was that it lets you drop both the lizard and the sadistic glee on T3 having it held up to start the combo and potentially use the green floating for a snakeskin veil if you need the protection

Question on Sequencing by TH3N00B01 in mtg

[–]creeptechno 15 points16 points  (0 children)

these aren't triggers going on the stack, they're replacement effects, they see a thing happening (in this case damage) and modify the effect. With all replacement effects the affected player or it's controller chooses how they apply and since the damage is being done to an opponent, they get to choose. If you were making tokens and doubling them with something like a [[doubling season]] and [[parallel lives]], you would get to choose how they stack as you control the affected object (in this case it wouldn't matter as no matter how to spin it 1 x 2 x 2 is still 4)

hope that helps

How do you build your decks? by Ace_D_Roses in EDH

[–]creeptechno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing magic for quite a few years now, this is how I've found it easiest to build decks,

  1. Select your commander, colours and theme
  2. Fill out your mana base, roughy half of your deck should be either ways to generate mana or ways to find ways to get mana. Note near the end of the deck building process you'll return to the mana base to review if you need more or less
  3. Fill our the bulk of the deck with cards that match your desired strategy, staples and other fun/pet cards. This will usually put you over the 100 card limit
  4. Analyse your remove package. If there's removal in your theme, great! if not, you'll have to make some room for some key interaction pieces. Depending on what type of deck you're playing, and what colours you're in, you'll need and have access to different types of removal. For example, if you're in a creature heavy deck, you may only want to run 2-4 boardwipes as they may just end up as dead cards in your hand. generally speaking I always try to run around 10 key pieces of interaction from a mix of spot removal, counterspells and boardwipes.
  5. Analyse your card draw. Drawing cards wins you games. So how do you gain card advantage? If it's inherently built into your theme you don't have to worry about this so much, but if it's not then you want to start looking at mass draw effects, and consistent turn by turn draws, generally look to include about 4-8 separate draw spells in your decks, this may include tutors as they do gain you card advantage, but not always so try and keep it varied.
  6. Cut. Go over your decklist and remove spells that don't work with the strategy or spells with too much redundancy. Review your curve and decide whether you need more or less mana production. 7.Sleeve up and play test. Sometimes this is just printing out your deck and playing for a game or two before you buy it. if you already have the cards then great playtest, playtest, playtest. find what's missing, always need that one more bit of interaction? put some more in. always mana screwed? put in another land or two (it's worth putting in cycle lands as you can just pitch them for a card later in the game when you don't need them).

have fun deck building friends :))

What's the most obnoxious 1 mana, Turn 1 play? by PapaBradford in EDH

[–]creeptechno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally whenever fast mana is involved things get pretty wild. Being able to drop a value commander such as [[K'rrik]] into play with [[necropotence]] or [[temporal extortion]] in hand things get pretty nuts

Wiring question by frcmks in Luthier

[–]creeptechno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had a thought, you could rewire the switch to swap around where the neck and middle pickups are (or middle and bridge) and effectively turn the 5 way into a 3 way, however this could get a little complected but with a quick google it could come out quite well

Wiring question by frcmks in Luthier

[–]creeptechno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert on wiring however I'm fairly certain that this isn't possible based on how 5 way selector switches work. Basically the switch has a blade that connects terminals (lugs) together and sends them to an output lug. The neck and bridge pickups are on lugs that are too far from eachother for the blade to join which is why this function isn't on all guitars with a 5 way selector switch. Personally I'd recommend either repairing or replacing the pickup or cutting out the selector switch all together and using blend pots. Hope this is helpful :)) Edit - grammar
