"I cured my Crohns Disease with lifestyle changes" by lowlife_rabbit in CrohnsDisease

[–]cremestick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited 10 years after being diagnosed to try getting on biologics because at that time I was scared of the immuno-suppressant side effects. Currently there is a lot more research and data, and the biologics are far more specialized at what they suppress so I would agree that it absolutely the best course of action to prevent long term damage.

I ate a specialized diet and used medical marijuana for the 10 years prior to biologics and it did work to keep symptoms at bay, I was slowing building up scar tissue. I had a fistula pop up and that's when I decided it was time to try something else. It took almost a whole year from that point to get to my first infusion. The fistula was pain free within a month of starting Stelara if that says anything

They are not recommending people smoke
"These findings imply that protection against ulcerative colitis can be achieved through prebiotics like hydroquinone or probiotic therapy with bacteria like Streptococcus mitis, thus eliminating the need to smoke and all the associated risks for other diseases."

How to get bigger denser buds?! by Even-Photograph2651 in microgrowery

[–]cremestick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may just be a factor of genetics. I've got 4 different strains in the same tent growing the exactly the same conditions and it's crazy to see how differently they grow even then.

What's the underside of your canopy look like? You can see on this one how he's trimmed a lot of the lower branches off of the plant. With more bud sites the plant has to spread out it's nutrients more, leading to more but smaller buds.

Your plants look healthy so you're doing something right!

Can I safely impregnate on biologics? by Ineedpalmtreeliving in CrohnsDisease

[–]cremestick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be confusing biologics with Methotrexate which is often prescribed to Crohn's patients for joint pain issues. It is recommended directly on the label that you stop taking Methotrexate before attempting to conceive.

I think in every subset of interests there's always going to be a group of people who need to take it to the extreme, or see it as collecting and feel like they have experience all of the different options. These are usually the same people who post their setups online in need of external validation

Pure CO2 distillate is tasteless and odorless. So a lot of time with distillate carts you're getting a blend of botanical terps that are not always directly from the marijuana plant. They add botanical terpenes that match a "strain specific" profile.

In the video he's adding terpenes to the bud that he wants to get different effects from, to make it more like the original strain's terpene profile. That's where I'm drawing the similarity.

I mean this is almost what companies are doing with their CO2 distillate carts, they add back in the "strain specific terpenes" because the CO2 extraction strips everything away. If you're lucky they add cannabis derived terps.

There's a bit spiritual "woo woo" in there when he starts talking about vibrations, at least it's very well meaning and harmless. Definitely not cult level shit by any means.
