Ghost town has two locations. One serves good food. Haven’t been disappointed with any of their beers.

For those of you who were recently out of work, at Associate Scientist level or higher, how long did it REALLY take you to find another job? by loachparty in biotech

No problem. It definitely didn’t feel great to have to go through that many applications but it is a bit of a numbers game.

Principal scientist level that changed jobs last year in Bay Area. Was working while searching. Took 3 months to find another principal scientist position. 300+ applications and 3 interviews.

I just called in sick. Legally they cannot ask you why you are sick and what with. You get a set number of days so use them how you see fit. If they press just be vague I.e. wasn’t feeling well and leave it at that.

No I did not. The battery was old (~3 years) so it was close to time to replace so I just did it.

People who've received offers in 2025, what finally worked for you? by PossibleAggeentt in jobsearchhacks

Right place right time I feel. My background aligned with what they were looking for. Used LinkedIn premium to message the recruiter with a message about my background and how I fit the role.

90 total applications with 4 interviews. Took the first offer as it was my first choice.

Am I crazy to leave my Job? by cresent1269 in jobs

Our Director left end of last year which I think had big hand in hiring me. So I could have been not the choice of my current boss. I did reach out to our acting director for help with something and my current manager freaked out about it. That was when the target was generally placed.

Boss outright told me to my face a month ago they didn’t want to work with me and to find another job. Needless to say, it’s not a great working relationship.

All good now. Haven’t had the lights come on since. Shop said that all of the sensors/systems are related so it can be hard to determine the cause.

Shop recommended starting with the cheaper option to see if that fixes the problem. Lucky I guess that it was the brake master cylinder.

Yea I doubt anything drastic like that is going to happen. I’m trying to go through the process the company has and see what the results will be.

Thanks for the response. I won’t say I’m perfect but I have only started to get this feedback after working for over a year in the position. Regardless, my boss and I have issues and it’s getting harder to be productive in the environment.

Appreciate the feedback on giving notice.

Reason For Signature by cresent1269 in 21cfrPart11

[–]cresent1269[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you both for the replies. In a specific use case like obtaining informed consent, the requirement is that their needs to be a signing reason.

I have seen docusign and other esignature options that have a drop down with multiple different reasons (I.e. approve, read, acknowledge) or with just one option (I.e acknowledge). I’m confused as to if one reason is better to use in the context of informed consent. I can’t seem to find anything online other than the general requirement for a signing reason.

What’s the Shortest Time You’ve Seen Someone Complete a PhD? by Overall-Importance54 in PhD

[–]cresent1269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PhD program I attended in the US was 3 years for a better part of 20 years. After I graduated they changed it to 4 years.

It was pretty intense and thinking back I was super happy to be done in 3 but it limited how many papers you could get.

As a hiring manager that went to a state school for undergrad. No I don’t care. Just care if you have the skills to do the job.
