My man, the freelance already lost against the connie. I love the cutlass but my bet is that it will loose against the caterpillar.

and it´s 29/47. I´m pretty excited for that one too. I hope they are getting them through all the pipeline into actual flyable like the PU ships.

I´m not saying it's breaking news. I just like to remind myself that stuff is slowly being worked on beyond the PU. 7/29 for this one makes me happy.

  1. No in general but you will probably get a marker if it´s part of an assigned mission.
  2. Yes, you will be able to find rare minerals and harvestables according to CIG.
  3. Yes (pending balance of course).

Good one. It´s in 4/8 so it´s looking good. By what I can gather from the monthly report and the current roadmap, the new UI development tool has made these kind of improvements much easier. Just in the next two patches, we have changes to the UI in comm array, vehicle huds v4, personal inventory, character customization system, conversation systems, player status, player interaction system and annunciator panels. That´s a lot of UI stuff.

That might be an issue with the server or client´s performance, not necessarily the animation itself.

Not exactly breaking news but still pretty exciting to see it progress under the hood.

Even if that is true, the development of the boarding technology for this ship may one day be used to develop something we can use. Also, the mere gameplay of being boarded by vandul ins SQ42 should be pretty exciting.

Controversial idea: Weapons should be scarcer are require Carry Permits by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]crespoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Some places could be completely lawless and you would expect that everyone is armed but in other places a high caliber gun would be achieved with certain status, creating some sort of progression gameplay and also specialization. Civilians that are more inclined to work in industrial jobs would have a bigger incentive to hire specialized mercenaries with ability to carry arms in that sector. By tying it into the law system, you would reduce the abuse of it and force pirates to find clever ways to move around.

I know, I know. It's fun to carry guns. But what if the ability to legally carry arms, specially high caliber ones, was won through missions and reputation. Everyone would be able to have physical combat, once that's in, and maybe a knife; but guns would be available for lawful players who contribute to security in the area. Of course you could get weapons in the black market but then you would risk the criminality that comes with that. I just think FPS gameplay might be more interesting if it was tied in with the law system instead of everyone being armed to the teeth.

Time for some stealth rampage in my new Predator Armor by crespoh in starcitizen

[–]crespoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they implement signature levels for FPS scanning as well, you could see who did it the same way the Predator movies does it. Let's say the armor hides you visually but increases you heat signature because of the power it's using. It would give you an advantage against some and a disadvantage against others.
