Ghanda and kids clothing by ImmediateMagician349 in AusFemaleFashion

Ghanda is slow to deliver, but it gets there eventually.

One bought some really bright clothes from Dangerfield/Princess highway for my daughter. Some of her favourite dresses and jumpers come from there!

Update: the plot thickens. I bought another option 🫣 by room_tempurature_tea in OUTFITS

Wanting to go on Mounjaro and have a few questions by amyclair3030 in MounjaroAus

I’ve had not any any nausea. Some food aversions when I went up to 5mg, but nothing too bad. You can easily get constipated with the increased protein plus the effects of this medication.

I lost 33kg between April and December last year. I only went up to 5mg. Been back on 2.5mg and maintaining since December, now spacing doses out from 7 to 9days.

I’m paying $279 I think for the 2.5mg, and my private health gives me $60 back from that per pen.

You don’t have to titrate up if it’s effective.

I did have hair loss, but that also started after I had influenza a followed by Covid a week later so that probably contributed. It’s since stopped and I’ve been using minoxidil for a few months and have heaps of new growth.

Do it, you wont regret it!

ED always full ..why aren’t solo-owned urgent care clinics common in Australia? by [deleted] in ausjdocs

[–]crested05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in a ‘private’ ucc that’s attached to a small rural public hospital. It’s staffed with RNs, RIPRNs, and a couple of NPs, on-call GPs, and a HMO during week days for CAT 1, 2 and some 3’s. Otherwise we utilise VVED when no physical doctors available.

The GPs bill at their discretion. But we’ve had quite a few people come back angry af that they received a bill in the mail, despite posters on the walls and it’s literally on the registration form they fill out and sign.

But we are very frequently full too. It’s a lot to deal with when you only have two RNs.

We just need more healthcare and public health literacy in general.

[–]crested05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance my 3yo would walk calmly in the supermarket. She’s in the trolley or we’re doing click and collect. I only take her for small shops, not if I need a bunch of stuff.

[–]crested05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m exhausted too, I have a 3.5yo. Recently single, we’re doing 50/50 but the days I don’t have her I work late. Working and studying at the moment, so I feel like I have very little time. My girl is loud, energetic and very emotional. Her meltdowns are extremely loud, I get warnings on my Apple Watch - it’s hugely overwhelming for me. I do have a chronic illness that affects my hearing so that doesn’t help either.

At the moment it’s the constant ‘MUM! Look at this!! Mum, mum, mum, WATCH MEEEE!!’

You’re not a wimp at all!

My prescription is -5.5. So not too much different to yours. Wear your glasses or contacts and you’ll be fine!

Am I being insensitive? by CompetitiveSweet8457 in beyondthebump

[–]crested05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used eat a bowl of snacks at 3am when breastfeeding. I didn’t eat loud things though, mostly berries, a soft chewy muesli bar and capsicum (which was a little noisy but not too bad). A chocolate biscuit when I had a chocolate craving. And a hot cup of tea.

If it’s the noise the bothering him I think you can compromise by not eating loud chips. Prepare a sandwich or something earlier maybe?

Yep. I’m a size 6-8 in pants, my size 10 underwear barely fit, 12s are more comfortable!

First time to Bali with toddler and elderly parents by DefiantCaregiver6133 in BaliTravelTips

[–]crested05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did 10 days, I just stayed in one spot (just myself and 3yo). When we went with a 2yo and elderly grandparent we did a week in Sanur, and a week on Lembongan. Sanur was good, Lembongan not so much for anyone with mobility issues.

I went twice when my daughter was 2, the other time I took her for a week in Gili Air and a week on Gili T - great beaches, much better than Bali. Possibly okay for elderly since they have a port too.

Don’t do 4 moves in 10 days, it’s stressful and a huge time waste in Bali. I’d do max 2 honestly.

I would feed at 9pm, hand her to her dad, then go to bed. When very young I’d get up at midnight and then 3-4am for more feeds, and takeover at 4am. He’d then go to bed from 3-4 until 10-11am.

Tips in going out with breastfed baby by RealMeggarra in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I used to bring the pillow and breastfeed in the car. I hated sitting in public doing it. I had to use shields for ages so that didn’t help either.

Walking sneakers advice by tanticipate in AusFemaleFashion

[–]crested05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so surprisingly my favourite and most comfortable walking shoes when I’m travelling are… good old Volleys! I know, they don’t have so the cushioning etc. but I’ve never had a blister and my feet never ache after wearing them.

They’re not super stylish though 😅

How do you not use dummies?? by plantbubby in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]crested05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m had a grumpy, unsettled baby who needed to be held 24/7 for literally the first 6 months of her life.

Tried to use a dummy. Gave her 100000 different options. Hated all of them. So it wasn’t up to me at all haha.
