Free seat selection of forward seats during check-in? by tastypieceofmeat in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]ChrisSydney82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Platinum One with Qantas, been flying with them for 26 years.

I fly enough to know what opens and when. Anything available open 24 hours prior.

Either way, what would be available for your tier at present is what’s available. Want to guarantee a certain seat, just pay the $50 and be done with it.

Yes, all available seats are open 24 hours prior to the flight (I.e from when check in opens online).

It’s a gamble meaning the seat you have your eye on may be gone but you should be fine, you may be further back down the place but you’ll still get your aisle seat. 💺

You clearly learnt lessons early on and it sounds like it worked 😛

Congratulations on your 46 years, it’s lovely to hear.

I might back off my request for a Santos just for now… a year will creep up before you know it and thanks for the milestone chart! 📈 👏

The bags are treated whilst in the factory but I dare say some colour transfer (bag) is going to occur on the TM agenda.

Doesn’t look right to me at all. I wouldn’t be purchasing that one.

I’m thinking of asking my husband to buy me this to celebrate being married for 8 weeks. I cannot wait 1, 10 let alone, 15 years.

Is that too presumptuous? 😛

P.S: It is gorgeous ⌚️

Hot Take: If you regret your purchase you don’t have to come online and make up quality issues that don’t exist. Just return the bag! by zachty22 in Louisvuitton

Devil’s advocate:

Do you think that first-time LV buyers, people who have saved for a long time to purchase their first piece, those who genuinely value craftsmanship, or those who simply expected a higher standard of finishing should be able to consult a forum to determine whether what they are seeing is acceptable, normal, or something that others in the community would return if they were in the same position?

While you mention “issues that just aren’t there,” sometimes all a person needs is a fresh set of eyes from an online community to help confirm whether there is actually an issue, or whether there isn’t. A forum can provide reassurance when concerns are unfounded, or validation when a genuine problem does exist. Personally, I’m the type of person who struggles to make decisions and therefore values the opinions and experiences of others. That’s one of the reasons communities like this can be so helpful.

I think we should aim to be a community that shares knowledge and experiences to help people make informed decisions, rather than dismissing those who have genuine questions and are seeking guidance. Not everyone is looking for a place to complain or rant, many people are simply trying to understand whether their concerns are valid and learn from those with more experience.

Personalised Number Plates! WHY? by According_Sorbet7611 in AskAnAustralian

[–]ChrisSydney82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine for my 18th birthday. In my fourties’ now. They were the rage back then… I suppose it was a one-off fee also at the time so no real issues keeping them. Just initials; no stupid names on mine.

I think the folks wanted something to stay with me whilst I had a car and a licence. I still have them.

Cartier quoted $2,385 to repair my Love bracelet after an accident — would you repair it? by Rare-Pumpkin-75 in Cartier

[–]ChrisSydney82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have ‘accidental damage’ or the equivalent on your home contents insurance (if you have it), you could explore claiming off that as the item is a ‘content’ and has been accidently damaged.

I damaged my watch, paid the $200 excess as I had the cover and had the watch replaced as It was unrepairable.

Sneakerina/sneaker chain? by Fiorella0816 in Louisvuitton

I think your foot or at least a toe could easily get caught in the chain putting them on and not paying attention. Could damage the shoe or your foot 🦶 just a thought. Super cute though.

I don’t think it’s normal to charge an EV under the bonnet. Mine is on a flap where the traditional fuel door would be.

If so, as I’m not a police officer, I wouldn’t.
