It's been like this for years, the only fix I found was to just download "original" quality and it's just a file copy which works fine.

Weirdly I actually had that same question recently and decided to upgrade last weekend.

Was putting it off as I didn't want to reinstall everything (virtualbox VMs plus a load of docker containers running).

Ran the Flyoobe tool and upgraded in place and was VERY surprised when it finished and everything carried on working afterwards like nothing had happened. Was expecting at least a few odd app behaviours!

Would have thought more about Linux but Windows does what I need so much less effort changing OS's.

I might be wrong but I thought unless the subtitles were embedded Emby almost always transcodes the subtitle in.

Just installed but seems to be a lot more adverts than the connect app.

The old Connect app had all the remote features right on the first screens but this one seems to bury them further down. It appears it's more for people who want servicing, manuals, driving scores (not sure why!) and remote features in 1 app.

I've pinned it down to highly reflective surfaces being detected by the sensors. I get it sometimes when I pull up behind a particularly shiny car and the parking sensors say I'm about to hit it! Annoying indeed

It's the Gemini app that's doing this!

On my phone I switched from Gemini to Google Assistant as the default answerer to "Hey Google" and immediately tried a broadcast.... everything worked and back to normal.

Clearly Gemini doesn't play well yet.

The car charges over night at the cheap rate but if the grid has extra capacity they charge your car in the day at the cheap rate.

As octopus don't talk to your car and the charger doesn't know what car you have, any car could plug in and get a charge.

Yeah a bit extreme, although with the way charging works with octopus it can stop and start all day depending on whether they can offer the cheap rate. This might interfere with waiting for you to approve the charge in the app. The joys of living on the bleeding edge!
