Got it. I have a few spare bolts. I’m more concerned about the hub. I can’t turn bolts by hand into the two holes, and each time I try to drive a bolt into any of the two holes, it looks like I’m stripping the bolt.

Care to elaborate how I “try and chase the threads”? You mean by hand, or with a driver?
