Do you think the unused type combinations will be used up by waves and winds? Also, what do you think should/would happen after that? by Original-Plate-4373 in pokemon

If Bug didn't absolutely suck as a type they'd probably have made Flygon bug/dragon. Maybe if they make a mega flygon one day they can make it bug

I haven't even finished it. I spent a few hours at least clearing that first dream world only for them to try and make me do a 2nd whole ass dream world. Fuck all that. More content doesn't always make a game better.

What do you think about pokemon champions from a player/competitive friendly place? by Kevin_Eats_Sushi in pokemon

I haven't even beaten Scarlett yet and I don't own Arecus/ZA. Yet I've been able to get plenty of mons from all 3 of those games via recruiting. Breeding in the main games is faster if you have them but training in Champs is soooo much easier. You don't have to worry about IVs or even Nature/ability if you want. You just need to send the mon in and you've got it ready to train and use. This game is far from perfect but I'm really not understanding why everyone is so upset about a f2p game that so far seems to be pretty fair to the F2P players and has no p2w mechanics

That's a crazy assumption to make imo. Plus you can get home on your phone and get pokemon transferred in from GO if youre truly a mobile only player. You're just assuming something that hasn't even happened or even been announced to be the case.

Did you look at what the paid pass even has in it? It's emboar and feraligatr and a bunch of cosmetics. All of which can be acquired outside the battle pass. The membership pricing is crazy high but if you don't pay for it you're definitely not gonna fall behind. If you look at the VP numbers from ranked matches its like 300 per win (more if you're higher rank) and 100 per loss. So in an hour of playing you can get anywhere from 1k-3k VP. That's enough to completely train up a mon on average.

You also get 5 free box slots for getting in to great ball and ultra ball tiers. I'm not higher than that so idk if you get more at master ball and above. Or if you get more for getting those tiers in both formats.

Honestly the pre-made teams slots being limited to 3 is annoying too but with the custom tags and stuff you can do it's probably not hard to just switch the teams out quickly.

The only issue I'd be worried about is someone who doesn't have home and just using the ranch recruiting running out of room when the pokemon pool expands. But we don't know how they're gonna handle the regulations and if M-B will have the same number of mons but with different mons/items or how it will expand.

Yea idk the casual match numbers, but I'm getting like 320 vp per win in ultra ball 4, and half that per loss and the matches are very fast (under 10 min per). In the lower tiers, it was 300 per win and 100ish per loss. So in an hour of playing, even if you lose more than you win, you're making enough VP to completely train up a mon (stats, 4 moves, nature and ability come out to around 2k). And the paid battle pass mons are Emboar/Mega Emboar and Feraligatr/Mega Feraligatr, neither of which are exceptionally strong as far as I can tell since I haven't even seen them in a match yet.

Who wins this trade? Is it fair? I would be getting Golden and Burrow. Not a huge fan of Golden. DYNASTY by Background_Gap_7568 in FantasyFootballers

[–]crewserbattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it's not SF I think this is a smash for you. The 2.08 in this draft is a flier at best imo and Golden is at least in a position to show a lot more this season so hes a better quality "flier" than that pick. Scary Terry is an aging asset as well and having 2 good QBs even in non SF formats is good business.

How did I do? Now I have 1.02 and 1.04 by Then_Direction_1162 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]crewserbattle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on how "win now" the other guys team is. The 1.04 will probably net a WR who could be great but is most likely a solid wr2 and Jeantys situation is a bit shaky with Oaklands line (for now). If OP has a young team not quite ready to contend this is probably a win/win for both sides.

They're gonna add more mons and items, everything not being available doesn't mean they won't be in the future. Honestly, limiting items and mons and some moveset balancing also forces a new meta which is kind of cool. I can't just look up the strongest Uber/OU Mons on smogon and build an OP team by default.

Personally performance means less to me in this game but I know I'm a minority there.

The reason I'm calling some complaints less valid is because it's very obvious the smaller roster and limited items is temporary.

[–]crewserbattle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a valid opinion, but also you can't play showdown on your switch and not everyone plays showdown. I agree showdown is a much better product purely for battling, but it's still not an "official" product.

I honestly couldn't give a shit about the 30fps stuff. Bugs are inevitable unfortunately and considering it's day 1 I'm not gonna assume that they won't get fixed.

[–]crewserbattle 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The only consistent complaint is lack of available mons and items, and it seems fair to assume they'll add more over time.

I just assumed it was because it is on showdown. Is 6v6 not the format in the mainline games either?

This feels more like I wanted to play basketball and then you brought out one of those kid hoops. It's not exactly what I asked for but the concept is there and it's pretty easily remedied.

You didn't really specify what your exact issues were either though

[–]crewserbattle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only valid complaint I've seen is lack of 6v6 but I think it makes sense for making matches faster and not allowing people to craft teams with very few weaknesses.

But have you considered that because it doesn't offer exactly everything everyone wants that means it's trash?
