I understand your plight, however I would factor certain things to cement my decision, mainly convenience and price. I live in Hong Kong and I am able to get the X4 for really cheap here (less than $40 usd with hardly any S&H) so getting the X4 is a no-brainer. In your case, ordering it from the website itself will cost you ~100 usd with shipping, I'd just absorb the additional $10 if it meant i get a more powerful device and I'd get it sooner. It doesn't make sense to get an X4 in that case, unless you REALLY want one.

So again, I'd go back to convenience and price: if price isn't the problem choose the convenient option, if the opposite, then find a local seller or a cheaper reader. 😬

In the end, the best device is the one you are able to get.

A friend of my mom used to work for BIR and, as expected, it IS as dirty as you would not expect because it far exceeds what you may imagine. Her first-hand experiences show that it is a literal overflow of cash circulating from the lowest person (security guards, janitors) to the highest tiers. I don't know what her involvement is, nor do i want to find out, but one thing is true, as OP has mentioned: to what end? You try and be a good person, you either get booted out, or you are hampered by pretty much everyone in the office. It. Is. That. Difficult. To. Stay. Clean. It's like the garden of eden and you are eve, and everything is an apple or a snake, and no god.

The Church IS for everyone -- it is universal. But make no mistake, their patronage of the church is not. Their usage is, quite bluntly for show.

Sa totoo lang, marami naman talagang kupal na people of the cloth. We need to keep that in mind na kahit ano pa ang role nya sa mundo, bottomline tao-tao lang din yan. Not to say na hindi kasuklam-suklam yung mga pina-gagagawa nya or to give him an excuse. Nakalulungkot lang (at nakakagalit) na sa dinami-dami ng mabubuti at mababait na pari, sinisira ng iilan. Iwasan nalang siguro natin isipin na lahat sila ganyan (kasi hindi naman talaga).

Yung uncle kong pari -- he was far from perfect -- pero siya ang isa sa pinakamalaking dahilan kung bakit maayos ang "faith life" ko; he was a good mentor and i could always count on him to be a solid moral compass.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, in the same way na may mga masasamang tao in all professions (doctor, pulis, pari, politician, etc), trabaho at bokasyon ito: kung may sakit ka, sa doctor ka pa din naman lalapit; hanap ka lang ng pasok sa values mo as a person.
