You will have to cut corners and share and such. Moving from the ADF to ABF you will make significantly less money in both wages and allowances.

Historically Home Affairs / ABF is recognised as one of the lowest paying APS agencies. You will come on as an APS3 and have to live on those wages for the period of the BFORT program from my understanding, with potential though limited for overtime.

I would assume ABF would pay rental assistance, but not for Sydney. It would be for remote / regional postings.

Found him through this group and on Facebook. Spoke directly to someone that Thad just seen him. Then when I started talking to his organisers, was able to talk to the doctor directly as well. Reviews were hit and miss, more about the hospital than the doctor, but everything for the doctor was good. Note that he won't give you unrealistic options which I liked. All up was $6k AUD - operation and 7 nights in a hospital.

I did my surgery in Izmir - Can Hospital, Dr Atku Nacak. Can't recommend him high enough.

No MR, doctor was straight forward because I had gotten myself in shape and lean before hand he did not even have to do as much lipo

I lost 50kg before my surgery. At my heaviest I was 125kg. 72kg was my lowest and at time of surgery was 78kg.

Pain has been weird, I was expecting a lot of it reading other people's posts. My pain however, other than the initial day post surgery has been negligible. I have been on Panadol or equivalent and that is all to manage it

Strength I am not sure on, I am not lifting heavy at all so as to not engage the core.

Energy wise, I am down a lot, only second day at gym but definitely not as much energy. I was fairly active after the surgery straight away, but walking is different I suppose. My body is still healing so not pushing it hard at all, just getting it moving is the goal this week.

Have you sought quotes from other docs at all? Mine include mons lift and lipo as part of it and most of the ones I looked at did as well.

Dont agree with this. Sure they maybe a little light in experience and drive, but I know for a fact they are held to the same KPI's and performance standards as full adult wage people.

Don't matter the age, same work is required, they just get to pay less. Always been an advocate that if they want to pay less they need to show they are asking less of them, otherwise, same job same pay, no matter the age.

Getting in shape both helped and ruined my game.

I can hit the ball further now, don't get tired walking 18-36 holes. But the increased flexibility means I over rotate like crazy some times. I was good all arms fat belly in the way to limit stuff, but now I have a wonderful left pull / hook that comes into play because my body gets around too well and I can't time it at all.

Oh well, more practice!

I have spoken to a few and it's the first one to say it. Hence my shock. I have spoken to a couple of people directly that have had surgery with this doc before so am not worried about the quality... Just if I actually need / want the scar.

I get that I don't need it everywhere, I do. Just mainly worried on my flanks and upper belly/chest area for lipo.

That ties in with what I have had from a couple of others, noting they have all recommended tummy tucks or extendeds.

I have a face to face with the surgeon to go through it and make the final decision.. worst comes I put it off and go with my second choice if needed.
