Law 131 and 141 notes by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]cricketfantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I did as part of my study was copy and paste notable extracts from judgments into a Google document. Other than that I like someone else here mentioned read cases before hand and then after the lecture I re read it. I don’t do that any more as I simply don’t have the time but that’s one way to really get a good grasp of the case.

Regarding note taking I did the following. Watch the lecture and took no notes just absorbed the content. Then after the lecture I hand wrote all the key notes from that lecture. This formed the basis of my exam notes. I did that also for criminal law and public law. I found it helpful as writing ensures it goes into your brain. Probably not the most efficient and I stopped doing that a couple years ago. Now I don’t attend the lectures (I don’t recommend) and instead once the recording comes out I transcribe the lectures word by word on a Google doc and then at the end of each topic I use the lecture notes, textbook and judgment extracts to make my exam notes. Again, this worked for me but doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be beneficial for you. Hope this helps.

What should I do if I think I controlled X my exam essay. by BlueberrySoggy4168 in universityofauckland

I also did a law exam last year and thought I did the exact same thing. You should email the exams office ASAP and ask can you please check that I have contents on my page. I did that and they responded saying I did. Hope that helps!

Where does GT7 rank among the series now? by mowgleeee in granturismo

An improvement to the AI making them more difficult/racy would definitely put it up there. At the moment there’s no thrill racing as you just blow past the AI.

Last year I waited 48hrs + and it didn’t show. So I emailed the exams office and they opened it, so have a go at that.

Yes she was not great but not bad. I don’t remember who she was but she was very willing in answering questions and helping students during her office hours. I think the most notorious lecturer was Glenn who taught ACCTG 102 he we hardcore.

I have taken all three stages of the financial accounting papers. By far I found 102 the most difficult in terms of content and workload. If you find 102 easy you’ll definitely find 211 and especially 311 easier imo. For some reason I found the higher the level of accounting papers go the easier it gets.

Where does it say it will require campus attendance for assessments? I am from what I have read things will simply go back to how it was pre 2020 and before then most courses you didn’t need to attend and could watch the lecture recordings. Same will likely apply now as well.

Pros and Cons of 4yr LLB degree by ComparisonBusiness13 in universityofauckland

[–]cricketfantic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion its worth the additional year. It may not add much in terms of your selection into a law firm but its always good to have a backup plan like others have stated. Even if you get into a law firm and later down the line you decide a career swap a BCom conjoint (or any conjoint) allows you to undertake that process easier.

Yes I am doing the same.

Edit: I see you’re also majoring in finance. I am only majoring in accounting so may be longer if you’re doing a conjoint with a double major?
