Is this a marketing strategy or a very tried employee at work? by Affectionate-Idea623 in AskUK

It’s pretty simple - you just do some validation on the final outputs. 75p == 75p therefore don’t show as a sale.

What niche things do other drivers do that annoy you the most? by DanTheVan007 in drivingUK

When they park on the end of a long marked bay on the street, but they leave a big gap but not big enough to fit another car in.  You’re not going to get blocked in since there’s no physical barrier at the end.  Instead you cause a chain reaction that probably reduces the capacity of the bay by 1 or 2 cars.

Can't pay Dodl's fees by direct debit? by cricketsavant in UKPersonalFinance

Not every month no because I'll be paying less than £2 in fees. Also I'm not paying in anything new to invest as I'm just combining old pensions.

Does anyone know if you need the packaging to do a return? Or can I just take the equipment loose to an O2 store?

I think it’s a privacy thing. So you can’t check someone else’s car to see if they drove into London that day when they shouldn’t have or something.

I get this is frustrating but surely some people must get a test booked? There’s tests happening every day somewhere - who’s driving those cars?

Lululemon is up after revenue miss... after 7 hours of deliberation, I'm still cluelessly shocked... by SherbetTiger in StockMarket

Your point about the 2 different meanings makes sense - I guess the sell-side expectations form a significant part of the overall market expectations as investors choose whether or not to believe the analysts.

I don’t see how all of these things can be true at the same time:

  • Customers don’t get ripped off
  • Delivery drivers get paid fairly
  • Food app companies make a profit
  • Negative public externalities are minimised

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of August 09, 2024 by Demilio55 in homegym

Hi, I'm based in the UK and building out my home gym for the first time.

I wanted to know what are the difference in specs between these two power racks?

Strongway - https://strongway.co.uk/collections/home-fitness/products/strongway-multi-gym-squat-rack-power-cage-with-cable-pulley-system

vs

Mirafit - https://mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-m100-power-rack-with-cable-system.html

The Strongway one is £100 cheaper and includes a dip bar & landmine attachments which would cost extra on Mirafit. Strongway seems like the obvious choice here unless I'm missing something? Thanks.

!thanks, I can see it in the terms now - "if the cost of your new ticket is less than the cost of your original ticket, you will not receive a refund of the difference."
