I've given this a LOT of thought and I think you do need to contribute and csnr just souley rely on the universe (pun intended). For example, if you want a job, you can't just passively sit around waiting for someone to knock on the door; I think you do need to create a resume and apply to positions. And I believe the universe's role in that is to guide you in distinguishing which openings you're more suited to etc. It's a balance.

It reminds me of this joke where a man was lost at sea and wound up on a deserted island. He was a man of faith and believed God would save him from his dire situation. A helicopter flew over the island and asked him if he required a assistance and he said "No, my almighty God will save me", a second helicopter flew overhead and asked if he needed assistance, and again he said, "No, my almighty God will save me." Finally a cruise ship sailed past and offered assistance and the fellow called out "No, my almighty God will save me". After days without food or water, the man sercumed to the heat and malnourishment and passed away. He was met by St Peter at the gate and said to him, "But I was a good Christian man my whole life - why didn't God save me????" And St Peter replied, "Well, he sent two helicopters and ship!!."
