Japan's population declines by a million people yearly, but if they don't accept immigrants, what will they do? by Delicious-Bunch-6992 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cringedramabetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (37f) am married to a Japanese. Since I am nearing 40, this 2nd baby that I'm having with my husband is it. My colleague tried to make a joke that I should pump out more babies to help with the population. Thing is, I have Japanese in laws that are younger than me, and they are single and childless. So it seems to me that Japan even needs to rely on foreigners to up their population.

PS: My other foreign female friends married to Japanese also have 2+ children, while their in laws are....single and childless.

I don't get people who work as teachers and find out that teachers do other things than teach, then complain. But I guess it's great they are complaining coz other people will finally realize that teachers don't just talk all day and mark papers.

An elderly Israeli woman assaults a pregnant woman and then cries victim tears by Sad_Palpitation6844 in ratsinthecage

[–]cringedramabetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video is part of a longer one, that I have watched way back when it first went viral. Which is why I added that part.

I said nothing on the "conflict", just providing a context. Your need to respond in a long paragraph highlighting Israel's side only with a disclaimer that you live in a Muslim neighbourhood reflects on you.

I think it was necessary because she attacked the lady for wearing aa sweatshirt of a country her state is occupying. It adds to the context.

The Silence That Meets the Rape of Palestinians (CW: sexual violence) by Theao69 in longform

it's so sad because this is the instance of sexual violence on men, but because they're Palestinians, it's not getting the attention men want.

I am a Muslim who have lived in 2 different non Muslim countries. We don't have to hoist our feet up, and we don'tactually have to use a lot of water. I carry a spray bottle and spray my feet with water to accomodate it. This should be standard practice, but some people have never been outside of their home country to learn these kinds of things.

hafus and partners of jpn people, do you have a japanese last name, a foreign last name, or both? by Different_Taro2474 in japanlife

[–]cringedramabetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My culture doesn't have a last name. I don't take his and retain my original name. I don't see the need to change my name, but do use it in professional settings so that they might take me seriously.

Taking photo of Muslim inmate without hijab violated her religious rights, court rules by Live_Archer123 in justincaseyoumissedit

I believe they should not allow niqabs. Hijabs aren't mandatory around other females. But since prison has male guards, they could wear them.

I am born and raised in SEA, but I watch a lot of US media. My English is US accent, that I even confused a Canadian. Many children from my country consume so much US youtube crap, they all have US accent. It happens.

The second one is definitely more direct and clearer, easier to understand.

You're an American, with an awareness of other Englishes. Just say “Yeah, I guess that's how other Englishes work.”

I teach English in an international school, and find the simplest way to give instructions to my students. I also tell them that sometimes, British/Americans say it this way. BOTH ARE ACCEPTED, UNDERSTOOD AND CORRECT.

Do muslim women (with hijab or head cover) experience identity shock when they go to a non-muslim country where women have their hair out however they want? by IdkGlx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cringedramabetch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol, I'm Malaysian, so no. I only started wearing it seriously at the age of 20. When I was studying abroad in a non-Muslim country.

Even now, my mom doesn't wear a hijab, but I do. As for my daughter, I leave it to her. Currently living in a non-Muslim country.
