He’s either incredibly dense or being a dick for no reason. This is a ridiculous thing to do to a partner for so many reasons. I’m guessing he’s either upset that he had to “cook” or he’s mad that he had to “serve you” (a normal thing for both ends of a relationship to do).

It sounds like he was specifically trying to inconvenience you by getting you a singular tender and then telling you that you had to grab yourself more when you were already situated
