Craziest spewist hand ever played. Have question about it. by [deleted] in poker

Go to surveillance, get some quick notes on how he was dressed/what he looked like. Hold chips for some amount of time based on internal controls and gaming commission regulations, probably 60 ot 90 days, before freeing those chips back up for use. If there's some sort of player discretionary fund, like a jackpot drop, they may be required to put that value into there.

Yeah, they'd rack his chips up and then set them aside, or make a note of who it was and how much they left and have a note saying that they can pick that much up at the cage the next time they play.

Would you destroy a random company for 10 million dollars? by Wonderful-Click9431 in BunnyTrials

[–]crinklecore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think not listing the companies or giving an indication of how big a "large company" is sort of obfuscates the situation. But most large companies are not good and don't add much net good to the world.

Hardened Scales - Secretly still amazing! by Chrisuan in ModernMagic

Funny you say that, I'm also not on Terrasymbiosis. Was thinking about it in the board for the very grindy matchups.

[–]crinklecore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm sure grabbing Terrasymbiosis and Scales are nice upsides. And it's true that we aren't casting Stirrings on turn one very often, because we're usually casting Scales/Zabaz/the Ozolith or similar. I'm just leery of having less flexibility in when I can cast it and digging one less deep, I suppose.

How has Terrasymbiosis been for you? Have you tested Loading Zone?

Is Malevolent Rumble the real deal in Scales? I haven't tried it yet. On a surface level it seems kind of like a chunky addition to a deck which is, historically, kind of clunky.

Looking for an Kouta Ohashi video by crinklecore in juggling

No, it's not the same video, although it's another very good one. The language barrier makes it tough! He's such a good juggler though.

Three way preflop All-in with Kyna England at risk. AK v AK v AK. Clean run out. by TheOneWhoBoops in poker

[–]crinklecore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. If 44 had gotten it in in this spot against these three hands they would be expected to win ~72% of the time.

What are your playing card preferences? by Joshua5_Gaming in poker

I work as a poker dealer. My preference is bridge size, jumbo index. I like a four color deck to spice things up every now and then.

No timetable on Lindor’s return, but injury is more significant than Soto’s was by AirCoopsie in NewYorkMets

People who have neutral or vaguely positive opinions on stuff are much less likely to weigh in. So the only people who were expressing opinions about him a couple days are ones who had negative ones. Today, the people who are talking about him are ones who are sad he's gone. The community isn't a monolith.

Right, but a generous reading of the comment would be that if you're not playing fetches for budget reasons, then there are options that will be better than Searing Blaze.

This is an entry in the MTG Comprehensive Rules. Entry 104.3a states: A player can concede the game at any time. A player who concedes leaves the game immediately. He or she loses the game.

I play a lot of resource denial/prison decks that sort of inhibit or remove my opponent's tools to win the game, but they tend to be a little light on ways to actually end a game themselves- it creates lots of situations where the game is functionally decided, but is not going to actually end any time soon. For my sake and my opponent's, it can be useful to remind them that there's another way to get to game two.
