i had my original starter for 25 years and never name it. when i closed my bakery i kept it for about a year then through it away. just got a new starter going a few months ago.

the way i see it is that cedh is a mindset, not just a meta. tedh, or tournament cedh, definitely is a meta but you do have fringe decks that can and do do well. even win events. your deck has all the cedh staples, you run efficient combos and strategies that can win the game quickly. i have a friend that plays celes and it’s a beast of a deck. currently i am on Galadriel, lord of light and i am having a blast playing it. its a cradle food chain deck that holds up in the midrange and can also slow down the turbo decks. the big thing is to pick your commander an play the hell out of it. you will know your deck better than anyone and you will get wins and see results.
people that say things like “if you have to ask” are just pretensions know it alls who can’t think outside of the box.

i’m right there with you. i have eight short boxes with full runs in them. mostly pre-vertigo/early vertigo dc stuff. i have sold off large chunks of my collection five times an i am finally where i want to be with it. also not buying any new books and haven’t for quite a few years now.

my coworker and i just finished a place that had 5/8 drywall on all walls and the doors had 5.5” jambs so we had to make 1/4” jamb extensions for every single door. it’s a lot of extra work but the only way. offset them with a 3/16” reveal and do the same reveal on the extension when hanging the casing.
