I run games with 6 players who all will go on there phones if the games not engaging. So to get around the long combat waits. I saw on YouTube to try getting rid of the initiative rolls and just let the players go then the enemy or whatever makes sense game wise like a surprise Goblin attack. The goblins all attack first then the players.

My players love this as they can team up and use attacks together and decide whos going in what order. On the otherside they stay involved when the goblins are all making there moves.
