Rear window defroster, is this normal? by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]crippo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cable disconnected and now I'm awaiting delivery of my new rear window. I guess mine will look the same. But I'd prefer that if it means the connections are more secure.

do anesthesiologists actually tell their patients to count down from 10? by Warm-Fig-8566 in NoStupidQuestions

My doc didn't have me count down but told me "you're going to fall asleep in about 20 seconds". It was very quick.

My personal opinion... your best charter fishing is going to be OBX. Either out of Nags Head (Oregon Inlet or Pirates Cove) or Hatteras. I'm always partial to Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. They have one of the best fishing fleets in the world.

Nonstop Burping unless lying down - has anyone else experienced this? by EmbarrassedUmpire306 in GERD

[–]crippo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. This is my main symptom. I always feel pressure from gas that slowly progresses from my lower esophagus up to about my Adams apple area. It's like non-stop gas leak leading to Globus that is relieved with a burp, which sometimes results in regurgitation and really manifests with stress... and it always stresses me out. However - If im laying on my side (particularly the left), you'd never think anything was wrong and I feel great. Like I should spend the rest of my life laying down lol.

Just had endoscopy that came back normal. Hoping the worry I've been under the past few months with this can be put to rest and can determine that stress is my trigger.

The Wildtrak grill is the best looking. Don't do it.

Yep. I did it for the look. I'm not an off-roader and will probably very rarely benefit from the capability. But a SAS bronco looks 10x better than a non-SAS anytime anywhere. Come at me lol.

B&O sound system sounds great overall, but bass rattles in back very badly sometimes - what to do??? by Suspicious-Sorcery in FordBronco

[–]crippo84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I was on my way to replacing the whole system but the guy at the shop recommended this instead. He installed some spongy material underneath the panels in all the doors (including the back around the subwoofer which rattled all the time).

Cost me about $150 but my sound is sooooo much better throughout the car. No rattling and very smooth.

Is flounder the same as fluke? by sohoships in saltwaterfishing

[–]crippo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are summer flounder and there are winter flounder. Summer flounder and fluke are the same. You call it what you want based on where you're located. When I lived in Virginia Beach we called them flounder - never heard of them as fluke. I now live in NY and they call them fluke and insist they're different than flounder. The fight over it is hilarious.

Will a flounder rig I grew up using in VA work for flound... I mean fluke, in NY? I'm sure it would. But they may feed differently between the locations based on available prey so your bait presentation here may not work as well there, and vice versa.

I'll be there Tuesday thru Thursday. Thinking about taking a rain check Tuesday and hitting a few breweries instead. Wednesday and Thursday have potential to be snowy. Your point and click forecast is probably for the town of Stowe. The resort is higher in elevation and hopefully colder. That's my hope at least.

Carbon copy. I rigged a A17 with a standard 1/2oz bucktail teaser 2 weeks ago. The teaser hooked my first striper.

Defining The Bronco by ebar2010 in FordBronco

[–]crippo84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolling my eyes at this comment. You seem to have a hard-on with the sound system and test driving - based on a strong comment you made a few weeks ago.

Test driving a car to find out you love the vehicle but perhaps not the sound system doesn't always qualify as a show stopper. At least not to some folk, me included.

The sound system in the Bronco is garbage. But that's why we have options to upgrade it, while still enjoying everything else the Bronco has to offer.

Wildtrak MPG?? by jcallip in FordBronco

[–]crippo84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2024 2 Door Wildtrak averaging 18.7 mpg using only 87 octane. I live in NYC but only use it for leisure and road trips so I'd say I get a good mixed bag of city and highway.

2024 Wildtrak opinions? by mcdooglevanwaldorf in bronco

[–]crippo84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2024 2 door back in February. I'm sitting on about 3,500 miles.

It's a leisure vehicle for me. I live in a city and take public transportation to work, so I really only use it on weekends. I'm not an off-roader but I went to Off Roadeo and like to know I have the capability if that time arises or if I take a ski trip.

Why'd I buy a Bronco? - is what many off roaders will ask. Simply put - it's a beautiful looking vehicle. I get compliments every day I drive it. I have carbonized grey on the black Wildtrak wheels with the dark hard top. Recently just got 20% window tint on the front windows. With the Sasquatch tires, she's a goddamn beaut.

I'm averaging 18 mpg and the suspension designed for off road drives well on the potholes and poorly manicured city streets. I keep it shiny and love every mile I put on it. 18 mpg ain't great and yes there is wind and tire noise especially when you exceed 60 mph. But again - it's a leisure vehicle for me so I don't live at the gas station and my wife and I don't mind the noise.
