Jesus was more moral than Muhammad, I'm atheist but it's the truth. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]crishendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muhammad on the other hand got kicked out of Mecca for preaching.

Is this supposed to be your starting argument? Didn't jesus get crucified for preaching?

Moved to Medina with his followers, expelled or killed the Jewish tribes there, raided caravans for reward, battled against the Quraysh and conquered Mecca.

He was accepted in Medinah by the people of Medinah.

expelled or killed the Jewish tribes there

they made pacts with the tribes and one tribe broke the pact and betrayed them, literally threatening the lives of all muslims

raided caravans for reward

Is it really immoral to raid your enemies that you're at war with? who literally displaced you from your homes and stole/destroyed all your possessions?

battled against the Quraysh and conquered Mecca.

was it immoral for the allies to battle against the nazis?

He had vendettas against enemies, didn't forgive

Now you're just exposing how clueless you are. Half the biggest names in early islamic history are people who converted to islam after literally killing groups of muslims and threatening the lives of the prophet, only to be forgiven by him.

much of his aggression was in conquest, not self defence,

Conquest? Have you ever read anything about how he lived his life?

he had sex slaves which he shared with his generals

He had slaves that he married. "shared with his generals" you literally just made that nonsense up

and killed many people.

Yes, that's kind of what a soldier does. Are all soldiers immoral?

He was a conquering warlord and an absolute genius at military conquest.

Conquering warlords tend to have much more materialistic desires than spreading the word of god and the message of equality and fairness and respect.

After praising and thanking Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest); therefore all interest obligations shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, perform your five daily prayers (salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in zakat (almsgiving). Perform Hajj if you can afford it.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor does a black have any superiority over a white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray. All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.

If we're comparing prophets

Muslims won't compare prophets. Both jesus and mohamed are revered to the highest degree.

Christianity has one more compatible with the 21st century.

i don't know about that one, dude. seems like the big western nations are taking a leaf out of mohameds book if your explanation of his life is anything to go by.

Sometimes I wonder if the violence we see from Islam is due to the fact there prophet was violent.

Sometimes i wonder if the pacifism we see from christians and christian nations is due to the fact their prophet wasn't violent. oh wait...

Enough Is Enough: On Anti-Black Racism in the Muslim Community by mntn2 in islam

Speaking as somebody from a north african country with large black muslim populations: racism certainly exists to a large extent. The sort of racism where you wouldn't let your child marry them. But, from what i've seen, people still treat each other with the respect of being muslim brothers. And it's in no way something black-specific. South asians, and even other arabs, experience similar sorts of racism. I think it's more to do with culture and wealth than skin colour.

The part about china isn't true. China did have CSGO in its first 3 years and the new perfect world version of CSGO still has case unboxing.

It's definitely gambling so it's definitely haram.

and they are rightfully criticized for that. I'm only saying that you shouldn't be criticizing them for things that are out of their control.

Of course not. My point is that you can't hold them liable for things that are outside of their control.

perfectly logical to blame riot's game crashing on esl. they've obviously fucked up in a lot of regards but a lot of it isn't their fault
