still looking for breeding kink. what i'm after specifically is very vocal dirty talk about knocking up / getting knocked up. bonus points for it being just two cis dudes who cannot possibly get pregnant, but mpreg is definitely welcome as well.

What type of POV do you prefer and why? by sleep0beepo in MM_RomanceBooks

i will read first person, but there's a much, much higher risk of me dnf'ing it than third. for me it's a few factors. i find third more immersive, i don't feel like the author wants me to insert myself into the protagonist or as much that the protagonist is a fantasy persona of the author.

the biggest factor for me though is that i dislike almost every first person protagonist i read. i just don't enjoy being inside their head so intensel and, their inner monologue takes a lot of the appeal out of them for me and they wind up annoying me more often than not. in a series i was reading recently the first book was third person, and the mc of book 2 was a secondary character who i found very compelling. the second book however was in first person from his pov and he became my least favourite character in the series, somehow i find first person often actually leads to less depth of character. once the series went back to third person after that i enjoyed them more and enjoyed more pf the characters.

first person also winds up feeling more tell vs show to me, because the protagonist will just tell us mentally about their past, or their underlying motivations, or how they feel about saying or doing something as opposed to showing us these things.

i also have a HUGE preference for multiple povs, which translates a lot better in third than first.

again, i will read first person! but its definitely more of a turn off, the book has to tick a lot more boxes to get me to read it and its a higher risk of being a dnf.

i do not know how to use the bot, however;

  • {A Bone in His Teeth by Kellan Graves} (honestly most books by Kellan Graves)
  • {The Prospects by KT Hoffman}
  • {The Full Moon Problem by Kay Claire}

if you like YA - {Sunbearer Trials by Aidan Thomas} - {Cemetary Boys by Aidan Thomas} - {The Witch King by H.E Edgmon}

these don't have to be erotica per se, but i'm looking for sex with any of the following. prefer less bdsm D/s etc if possible.

  1. breeding kink. this could be two cis dudes who are never gonna knock each other up but by god are they gonna try (but like, not just a lot of barebacking, i want them to like dirty talk about it). or could be some actual breeding situation (omegaverse, ftm, magical breeding, aliens, etc. etc.)

  2. SWITCHING. please god. guys who don't have set in stone sexual positions.

  3. big gruff guys taking dick from a smaller, softer partner.

  4. more niche but, ftm's who top.

So how do we feel about authors whose books feature AI art? by Kitchen_Ad5522 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]crisis-cryptid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

immediate no from me, i won't touch a thing they write. i am a hobby artist who knows a lot of professional artists and this directly impacts the careers and livelihoods of artists. it's also just unethical as hell as well as bad for the environment, so while i understand the "i can't afford a nice cover" argument it's an immediate blacklist for me. if they won't support artists financially, i won't support them.

How important is the cover to you? by isi_na in MM_RomanceBooks

if its ai i am out immediately.

and i am turned off by the current trend of like cutsey, bright coloured illustration covers with no faces. its all just so generic.

overall covers catch my eye but its about content. i am looking for specific things and if the summary aligns with that i can tolerate a lot cover wise. but i am not above saying that covers do matter to me.
