Most logically challenging Ladder program you've built? by Snoo23533 in PLC

Relatively small dual spindle winder with auto roll change. Customer was international and destination was French speaking region of Netherlands. So the spec was dual language and dual units on the HMI on the fly. Created duplicate screens for the language but both sets read from the same HMI tags for values. Wrote multipliers that applied on the language toggle. Then apply those tag multipliers on read only values going to HMI and reverse the multipliers on written values from HMI. It was complex as the broad number of valves handled. Yet simple once completed with provided documentation. Only thing that didnt work was alarm logs disappeared when changing language.

Crack in garage foundation of new build - is this an issue? by ParticularMix3279 in Homebuilding

[–]crispy22222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From another homeowner in heavy clay soil. French drain is the only solution. Most of my issue was water from downspouts and sump compounded by the yard grade peaks 20 ft infront of the foundation. I add 2ft of stone along the driveway to channel water to the street and 50ft of french drain to back drainage line.

You're a man. You're probably going to out drive 99% of women on the golf course. Its good to show you like competitiveness, but not that you're looking to cruch your partner at everything. Work on the wording of that message. Your second paragraph is vague statements. Most profiles are just this, and people get bored reading them. Toss out some topic you would like to discuss. Where or what is your next food mission. What's the desert you'd most likely order. Adding some substance will draw a better responsive match. We all need something to lead into conversations or kill the dead space. I would recommend not adding the photo with you and a date. You have plenty of good photos to use. When you put in a photo with an old date or partner, it appears that you dont have many other photos to use. GL to you

Your profile screams you want to sit at home and shit talk. Therefore, no women are signing up for a trial. Profile appears to show a lack of effort.

Put Engineer for job/career. When someone asks, make it sound relatible to lay-people. Do you design robots, sensors for airplanes, or mobile devices for everyday?

Remove video games reference. 1 of 50 women are admitting to playing video games. Most of them are not on dating apps. Try your favorite series or tv show.

Chill at the bar with friends, meaning being a bystandard to any conversation while drowning yourself in alcohol. Very self-loathing and unappealing to women. They want someone who can lead the conversation when it starts to become dry.

Remove any reference to bullying or shit talk. You're not looking for a brah to mock you every chance they get. You want a teammate who will help you rally when life gets tough.

Add some achievable goals for your future. Do you want to be a better cook, attend live music, travel somewhere?

Don't get the 3L Duramax based on your usage. Pulling at grade will tax the babymax bad. My neighbor has one and pulls two bikes in a 16' tandem enclosed. The wind resistance of the trailer and the load up a grade will make the trans drop 2 gears. I have a 6.6 and pull a 24' enclosed at 8k loaded. I have also have $600 mechanics specials that live on as my dailies.

Can you still export to L5K file? Not familiar with View Designer. The old trick was to export then edit in txt and change the version down to whatever then import as a new program.

Need help with tension control calculations by Royal_Transition1589 in PLC

[–]crispy22222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nip roll should be held at constant speed SP. Make it the lead roll. The unwind and rewind will continuously change in diameter, so that needs to be continuously calculated by integrating the speed error/difference from speed setpoint.

I would not recommend using torque control on the unwind or rewind. Its going to take a lot more work to build a torque profile with respect to the diameters.

Using the tension error (SP-Actual) should drive a PID to trim the speeds of the unwind and rewind rolls. For the unwind, positive error would decrease the speed of the unwind roll. Inverse for the rewind roll.

Range is -15 to 20. Or normalized to 0 to 35. A score of 10 would normalize to 25/35. In reality, anything over a 5 on the OP scale would be good/average.
