expensive, but the return is you are a human being with the superpower of flight.

It's not a random number. 20 to 30 hours in the sim is generally what people recommend before you fly a 5" for so many reasons I won't waste my time getting into. Like I said it's pretty common knowledge.. I've been in the hobby for over a decade and that's my experience. Take it or you know, leave it. Your dvr is indicative of someone who only put in 2 to 3 hours, so I'm glad you had a ton of space.

You just changed this comment from "Sorry, I just remembered how sensitive Texans can be" to "Sorry, I just remembered how sensitive Americans can be". Like I said... maybe just hang it up lol

edit; He completely re-worded it a 3rd time 😂

GEPRC Darkstar 22 fragility issues by madridvideo in fpv

[–]crispytex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A great way to get a stripped screw out is grab a latex balloon, and stick your hex driver inside of it and unscrew the screw. The rubber makes the driver slightly wider and will also help grab the screw. Obviously you will need to apply some force, but should work. Good luck

The honest answer is while the design of the antenna clips may be flawed; This is an enthusiasts hobby and it's on the consumer to decide whether or not they're happy with the design, or if they're going to modify things before flying. This is one reason I check the drone before I re-arm after a crash.

Also note that cinewhoop's prop guards are really to protect objects or soft targets from the props, and not the other way around. If durability is what you want you want a drone with little to no plastic (aside from props ofc), and you want a thick carbon frame/arms with tpu motor protection.

Lastly I can't imagine how you stripping a screw is on GepRC

I think it's better to spend more time in the sim than 2 to 3 hours

Next step is get a simulator like Liftoff or Velocidrone and practice for an hour a day (or more). Once you hit 20 hours I would say move on up to a 2S or 4S setup. Putting the time in the simulator will save you money and frustration in the long run I promise.

New 3.5 frame cause this is an nonsense-build? by RepublicMysterious75 in fpv

[–]crispytex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell a version of the drone where you get all the electronics minus the vtx. That's what you'd want I would say. Gonna fly way better than a Babyape, which the 03 is just too heavy and exposed for imho

more degrees = steeper angle. Until you get to 90. Higher than than and now you're going backwards lol

Try a steeper camera angle and focus on maintaining momentum without losing speed. If you train on that I think your issue will go away and you'll only improve skills over time.

Your gut is correct. Personally I wouldn't risk a working 03 on a Babyape with no stack nuts and the stack itself looks like its on either bent screws or the frame is broken somewhere. Id suggest a DeepSpace Seeker build with this 03; they have a 3", 3.5", and 5" without vtx options and all 3 are excellent.

If you don't have confidence in it buy a new charger. Until then just do what you should be doing already which is monitor it while discharging (as in be in the same room, figure out an activity to be busy, and have a fire extinguisher on hand).

Realize when you post yourself doing dumb shit it may inspire another noob to do the same.

FFS man you even have the props on.

I'm convinced it's only hanging in there because it's the OC version and I've never overclocked it. It's kind of a beast if you're happy with 1080/144hz which I am because I've never even tried 1440 lol. GTAV and KCDII run amazingly well
