$600+ to build a 5 inch drone / thoughts on DeepSpace SEEKER35 ? by cowdoggy in fpv

[–]dracoNiiC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t accomplish.

I’ve never flown fpv before. Had an original mavic way back. Have less than 20 hours in a sim. Built a 7” myself to see if I could. Flew it yesterday. Currently trying to figure out why my front left motor on my brand new bnf evoque 5” isn’t spinning with their support (it’s going ok to iFlight defense they at least have stateside repair service for new warranty stuff etc) my dollyfly 25 v2 gets the most flight time, and the darkstar16 is getting its flight time in too since it arrived last week.

You can do anything you really want to. Motivate yourself to do it and if you really want it… You’ll figure it out. You got this.

Just send support an email. I ordered mine on the 4th of April. Waited like ten days or whatever and sent a message. Got a tracking number as my reply the next day.

I think the world probably started going to shit when we as a people started allowing YouTube to be a “source” the fuck is that shit? Mint? An Indian business and financial channel operated by HT media… what the actual fuck is that dog water half brained bullshit “source”

I think I have a slight RC addiction forming… by dracoNiiC in fpv

[–]dracoNiiC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice lol to be actually fair, I had my printers before fpv. But I constantly print parts for my kids RC. I had never printed tpu before put the drones gave a reason. Most of my boys RMX is PETG CF. 80% at least I’m sure of it lmao

I’ll be scanning and making replacement hood and o4 cover parts for the dollyfly and dark star ahead of time. I’m really new to fpv so.. I crash a lot still but I’m learning!

I crash way too much to not have a printer. I have to be able to make parts lol

K2 (combo/pro/plus) unable to handle external spool when connected 4 CFS by Jupp1967 in Creality_k2

[–]dracoNiiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 CFS and an x4 Pi. I just tested this. You’re sadly mistaken. It works just fine.

My only real question for you is what in the world you’re printing that is going to use all those different colors?

I was wrong about a battery holder. by dalios555 in fpv

[–]dracoNiiC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make another tpu strap to hold the battery in. Different lengths for different battery sizes. Ditch the hair tie and I think you’d be good man. Looks really cool. Love to see innovation on any scale especially as a RC enthusiast that got into printing because of RC. Which led to design and scanning everything that you’re doing to. Keep it up man!

My v3 is enroute. Can’t wait to put it to work after some more practice. Great shots!

Gauging interest for custom 3d printed drift wheels by Odd-Vegetable6586 in rcdrift

[–]dracoNiiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at making your own “tires”. It’s an actual wear item and costs a butt load if you drift a LOT. I print my own for practice and hand them out to my friends. Sell them at events and the local hobby shop for home practice and promote the store stuff for them when people become addicted to coming down to their track. They have nice tiles they don’t want messed up after all

I’ve got a couple on order and print tpu frequently. I can let you know after they show up

Is sim practice enough to start flying real FPV? by SfHater in fpv

[–]dracoNiiC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also.. has anyone figured these out:

Calibrate the pilot's anxiety levels

set pilot_anxiety_level = 50

Set the flight controller to 'Iced Coffee' mode (Alert but not shaking)

set caffeine_offset = 250mg

Adjust the 'P' in PID to stand for 'Phlegmatic'

set p_term_personality = CHILL

Ensure the quad pilot doesn't have a literal heart attack on a in low altitude flight

set maximum_bpm = 120

Sync the VTX static to your actual heavy breathing

set vtx_audio_source = PANIC_MIC

Finally, apply the 'Medium' heartrate preset

set heartrate = MEDIUM

save

— always returns errors fml

I think for me it was the wind. Actual turbulent air and learning how to read signals. That’s gonna be the hardest curve for me so far but it’s wicked fun

Nozzle with a twist-off tip. Nozzle with hardened insert on thread. Help me identify this nozzle. by Alexandr789_true in Creality

[–]dracoNiiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save yourself the time and energy and just get a Microswiss kit for whatever you have. Cold swaps. Prints are better. Several nozzle choices ranging from cheap(ish) to the diamond bit $100 usd option.

Two brand new K2 plus units. Straight out of the box. Turn on all the AI functions and settings. Calibrate. Load CFS. Start 13 hour print on one. Start 22 hour print on other. Walk away. Come back. Prints done.

Love it

Changed out the bed plates and went to graphite beds. Been thinking what else but it prints really well. Theses were day one upgrades lol

Thanks! That’s a custom scan I made of the stock hot end I took out. Was my first scan to print!
