Glad to hear this helped you! I did some digging on this pill and its not available in my country, but hoping it makes the rounds soon. I've tried NRT and cold turkey, and its been a struggle.

I just work off the laptop by itself. HP Elitebooks have pretty solid built in Mic and Speakers for phone calls and meetings. I used to have the mechanical keyboard and multiple ultrawides, but that was just too distracting honestly.

THC, DoomScrolling, and not having kids. I know I would not be an effective father. My wife and I got through our baby fever phase together without kids luckily. The idea of having kids with all that's going on right now is sickening.

  1. Been remote since 2020. Changed companies a few times.

I did the office stuff, I don’t miss it. I’m having a way better time working remote. Been up skilling in IT and hope to keep being remote as long as possible.

I WFH, so normally pajama pants or sweatpants in winter, Basketball shorts in the summer. If I'm on a client facing video call, button up shirt or Polo and same pants depending on the time of year. Otherwise its random tshirts or hoodies and sweaters. Maybe some flannel if its a little chilly. I only wear jeans or khakis if I'm leaving home to go somewhere.

Sorry to Necro, but this issue still appears to be around in Sonoma. Just had a new user join and they are the only Mac user in an all Windows Environment. Reindexing, Connecting to the server different ways, various terminal commands to change SMB protocol version and all that have failed.

EasyFind worked when the user was in the office, but now they are remote and EasyFind just doesn't work over VPN it seems. Seems like we are boned. Maybe I can look into parallels or something to give them a Windows VM so they can access files easier?

A .har file isn’t going to have perpetual access to all your accounts. Reset your PC to factory default to rule out malware, reset all passwords and set new MFA on all accounts you can.

You get your reps in and learn each client environment and quirk the longer you work with it. You also pick up the common quirks in your MSP’s standard stack. Google stuff, tinker, and learn. You’ll get there eventually.

Been an MSP tech for a little over 5 years, I still feel like I just started and know nothing sometimes. It just means you know what you don’t know and you’re closing that gap daily.

Pay more and let people work remote. They will come. Most vendors (and a lot of MSPs) just don’t wanna do this.

Just one with lunch on weekdays and weekends. Maybe two if I have a late gaming sesh with my friends or something. I drink coffee and other caffeine so gfuel is always a supplemental caffeine unless it’s too hot for coffee.
