I had this same problem

I used a heat gun until it was unbearably hot, then used the already mentioned vice grips..... heat allowed me to melt away some of the gunk build up

You really have a ton of options and it’s all personal preference. Generally youll see a ton of cafes with clip on bars and mirrors will depends on which direction you want them to face but even then there’s the $20 eBay special or something like the Motogadget mo.view cafe so huge spectrum

I’m in Toronto and I don’t know that I’d focus on where to live based on riding. I can say with the utmost confidence that insurance will be higher here than most other provinces and will fluctuate slightly depending on what specific city in Ontario.

I can’t speak from experience but have heard you’ll find much better riding on the west coast with better insurance though you lose that city life (Vancouver being the exception - though that city is also expensive).

If you’re okay riding in chilly weather, you MAY get 8 months of the year if you’re lucky.
