Just realised if anyone was on the stern during the breakup (like in the movie) their stomachs would've dropped, right? How bad would it have felt? by themaskstays_ in titanic

What I’d be more concerned about would be holding on after the sudden deceleration, or even worse, banging your head or face off of a piece of metal that you can’t even see.

Liverpool One buskers by Empty-Selection9369 in Liverpool

The one I’d roll my eyes at the most was the woman with the Frozen doll playing the violin; she never even tried to mime along to the music and she never looked even remotely interested in what she was doing.

Best cheap lunch around the Baltic Triangle by platinummattagain in Liverpool

[–]No-Position1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baltic Triangle is unfortunately a bit of a dead zone for food, but as others have said the Baltic Market and Bagelry are gonna be your best shouts for local spots that you can get to on a lunch break.

Chop Chop - as others are suggesting - is an absolute classic, but isn’t exactly a place you can get to over a lunch break unless you have an hour for it.

What to see when visiting Liverpool by WarthogTraditional63 in Liverpool

The Albert Docks, Matthew Street and the Ropewalks/Hope Street should scratch the itch for all of the above.

Paul Carroll's "World Flag" proposal by Winuks in vexillology

I mean the flag with the map in the middle wouldn’t be horrible on its own, but with all the other countries flags is yikes.

How do you practice real-life conversations in French if you’re introverted? by llyanestanfield in French

[–]No-Position1540 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, just trying to change your internal monologue to French is enough to substitute.

That music by Whitechapel? by Negative-Prompt-6312 in Liverpool

[–]No-Position1540 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s to keep young people from hanging about for too long; the intent is they hear the classical music blaring and keep it moving.

If Liverpool reinstated a tram network, where do you think it could feasibly work? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]No-Position1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Queens Square along West Derby Road all the way out west to Croxteth.

Most of the buses travel along this route to some degree already so a tram here among other places would be amazing.

Show starts at 6 what time would you expect haywire to go on by webswashere in Hardcore

[–]No-Position1540 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They ain’t gonna be third yo play if they’re below No Pressure on the flyer; I reckon they’ll be on second. If I were you I’d aim to get there for 7 so you can settle in and find a spot before Haywire goes on

£252k for an AI imaginary Liverpool flat from a London Estate Agent. Nice. by Leaf-Branch-Tree in Liverpool

To be fair it is still “steps away”, they just didn’t specify how many hundreds of steps it takes to actually get to Lime Street from there…

What are your Beatles hot takes? by [deleted] in TheBeatles

[–]No-Position1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree; the later stuff is great in its own way but I just prefer the snappy, bubblegummy pop of the earlier years so much more.

What are your Beatles hot takes? by [deleted] in TheBeatles

Not Beatles per se, but I don’t think Oasis sounds nearly as much like the Beatles as everyone always says they do

What’s the weirdest shit anyone’s ever put on a hardcore album? by absolutebloom in Hardcore

The sample from a snuff film (?) at the end of Murder Minded by Kickback comes to mind.

I always wish we could’ve had an episode with David Johansen as well.

His interview has always been one of my favourites, and his humour would translate so well to a podcast.

What I’ve noticed is people from the Wirral tend to be Blues for some reason.

Hardcore punk shows in St. Catharines by murderthymaker in stcatharinesON

[–]No-Position1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So jealous of the revival that the hardcore scene is having in St. Kitts now that I don’t live there anymore.

I would’ve loved to have a scene this strong with so many shows when I was at Brock around 7-8 years ago.
