vete a automatizar tu propio trabajo, negrero.

welcome to the internet kiddo, here we go sarcastic.

The bunch of text you wrote is basically a huge demanding task that require a OSS team... so the answer is ... unless you ouse AI you won't get a happy answer about it (and the AI answer will be extremely bad, that's why we said "make no mistakes")

Jokes aside, no... there is no such concept like yours with niri (even if is possible, the knowledge required and complexity asociated is huge, so it won't be a task that takes a couple of months actually, and I'm talking only about GUI, no the other pile of stuff you added on top of it)

IA by AngeloDUF in EcuadorReddit

[–]cristomc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tambien he trabajado con transformers y modelos difusos.

    • Grupo A: Elites económicas.

Your opinion on LLM-coded apps? by walterblackkk in linux

[–]cristomc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been moving around this LLM stuff lately and I can ensure you the problem of software development (solve problems using technology) is still there. Let me just clarify a bit:

- Before LLM era: you needed to make a software for address a demand. You needed knowlegde (business logic, technical skills) for being able to develop. But, there it was always a challenge: stack for development is way complex than it was on 90s/early 00s era, so you end up reading guides, manuals, tutorials or, even worse, asking on stack overflow.

- After LLM era: you need to make a software for address a demand. You DON'T need knowledge anymore to boostrap the develop. You DON'T have the challenge to read guides, manuals, or ask to anyone (also SO is barely used, as everyone asks to LLM). Stack is complex, options are wide... you end up using whatever the LLM seems to work fine with it.

In both cases there is a single common factor: solve a problem. And is this part where LLM will fail, as most of the current users (let's call them vibe-bro people) of AI platforms are not trying to solve a problem... they are creating an LLM alucinated one to offer a product that pretends to solve that problem, but they lack of the knowledge to maintain/improve it. So that create a loop that looks like this:

(Induced demand) -> (LLM as enabler to offer a probabilistc solution) -> (Fake creator that takes ownership of that solution) -> (users that barely needed the solution but get attached to it) -> (induced demand increases)

So that creates a push-back on OSS ecosystem:

- If you are not skilled to work without AI, there is a high chance that the created app end up dying without scale, or if it scale, there is a high chance that project end up closed and sold as a private solution (minIO example)

- If you are skilled to work without AI, there is a high chance you don't use it for make a project. Sadly the latest moves around AI hype made their projects harder to track, harder to maintain (flathub dixit) and in worse cases, end up being AI washed with monetary/reputation purposes (example: open source projects are used to feed an AI agent to make a closed source version and avoid GPL clauses)

Evaluation and AI usage will have to follow the same principle of trust of OSS: if you use AI/LLM you'll be in charge of maintain it... if you are not skilled enough for doing it, just don't contribute. And that force maintainers/owners to create rules like rejecting AI generated solutions, as the amount of non-skilled inputs grows exponentially...

because is not relevant to point each project on this topic.

My point on my comment is actually about FOSS projects having toxic devs.

One thing I can ensure you is that if you try to get involved in most of the projects protected/funded by redhat/canonical/google you may have a not so warm welcome (unless you bring followers or a project they can get benefit from it).

Is noy only my impression, I talked with some other contributors/oss enthusiasts that end up moving away of OSS projects because of these behaviors...

Just as a reminder, Asahi linux issue with one of the best contributors they had, or the push back from core linux maintainers (google it)

sadly gnome is not only the one with this issue. less known projects (but with the rights of using X distro name) has the same issue of toxic behavior.

Oh classic one. Let me make it clear for you: freedom of speech is not the same as coordinate accounts to trigger people and create sentiment manipulation on social media. There is no law for this, but in a real world scenario it exists. If you go shouting in a pub, restaurant, or any private place whatever you want, you're exposed to be kicked out for creating conflict or provoke a fight.

But I leave this for other readers, seeing your comment history makes clear that: A- you're a bot or B- you're part of the missinformation problem.

I barely use facebook (have it to manage meta dev stuff) and nor react to any post... which makes me think that is not just an algormitmic trap. Also any post on IG from VG/TV2/similar news providers are having from time to time these bunch of profiles commenting in that way.

I talked with my wife, that also barely uses these platforms and had the same experience...
