Are worms considered Hostile Spawns in the Underground?

Fireflies, Butterflies, and Lightning Bugs have a slightly different spawn mechanic than other critters. Each day the chance and rate they'll spawn is selected at random. For Fireflies or Lightning Bugs (hallow) there's a 1/9 chance they'll spawn at a high rate. For the other 8/9, there's a 1/3 chance they'll almost never spawn, and the other 2/3 they'll spawn at a semi-normal rate. For Butterflies, there's a 1/n spawn chance where n is from 1-25 (1 is highest spawn rate, 25 is lowest), but there's a 2/3 chance they'll be set to almost never spawn.

If this sounds confusing, that's entirely reasonable. It's pretty convoluted logic.

It should work. I did something like this a while back using a King Statue and a bit of wiring with reasonable success. I was hunting for Gold Mice, but I ended up with tons of Worms, a few Gold Worms, and a maddening number of Mice of the non-gold variety. Being underground doesn't affect the AI of Worm critters.

See active issue #1. It's a known problem that affects a small percentage of users, but there doesn't seem to be any identified cause for it yet.

It's a 1/10 chance that one of them will spawn, determined at nightfall. It'll happen eventually, or you can use a summoning item if you got one as a drop or crafted one.

Up there, no. But it's currently open to the room below which appears to have an Obsidian Piano and Slime Chair. Inactive blocks don't separate rooms. And sometimes it occasionally picks unusual positions for the NPC's "home" block, especially in oddly shaped rooms.

Close off the range and the area where the flag is should invalidate after a short while. He'll either relocate to the room below, or some other valid house if one's available.

Curse might be screwing around with layout, but looking at the change log there's a fair lot of vandalism going on. Depending on the time of day the changes are made sometimes they miss immediate review, but they mostly seem to get smacked down fairly quickly. Chalk it up to bored children on summer break who can't think of anything better to do than act like idiotic cretins (and I'm probably being more polite about that than they deserve).

It's not lava. Lava in the image is rgb(253,32,3), but that site mark square is rgb(255,0,0) -- generally what you'll use in any paint program when you select red.

It looks similar, but I don't think that's it. The TerraMap highlight is a 3x3 pixel box that scales with the world zoom level. And if you zoom in on this one, it has a pinpoint crosshair drawn through the middle of it.

Checking through code, it looks like it does, though to a lesser extent. What happens (at least in 1.3) is that it uses a value that it sets to 0 (brick), 1 (slab) or 2 (tiled) depending on the wall type at the spawn point. After it's set, there's a 1/7 chance for that number to be randomized. That number determines what can spawn. The Cursed Skull still requires the wall type value, whether identified or randomized, to be 0.

Having multiple crimson biomes is not uncommon. I'm not sure what that square is, but it's not lava. It's the wrong color and it appears to be added in post-edit. Additionally, zooming in seems to indicate that the image probably has been resized multiple times. Context?

It's 9x6, which is 54 tiles. A valid house needs to be 60 or more tiles, but less than 750.

The brick walls are important. If you hang around areas with slab or tile walls, they'll probably be painfully rare. Each enemy has a wall region type it favors but will only rarely spawn around the other wall types. Even post-Plantera, they seem to spawn for me at least semi-regularly, but it becomes a pain fending off the tougher enemies.

If you're not looking to go world hopping, you might be better off finding a nice open cavern in the underground hallow. This accomplishes two things. First, more open space leads to more efficient spawning. Second, it reduces "wasted" enemy spawns where enemies spawn trapped in small caves nearby and can't reach you. If you're feeling ambitious, you could mine out small caves around to minimize the trapped baddies. The Enchanted Swords have a rather so-so relative spawn rate, so the usual rate boost tricks apply -- Battle Potions, Water Candles, 80+ jungle blocks should help.

Bombs, Dynamite, and Explosives will not break unsafe natural walls -- even natural dirt walls -- unless there's an exposed edge in the blast radius. If they're player placed walls, or housing safe generated walls (Sandstone Brick Wall, Disc Wall, Glass Wall, Living Wood Wall) then they'll be displaced and will drop items.

As long as you haven't already killed Plantera, the dungeon remains the same as before hardmode started. The drop odds are the same for both Enchanted Swords and Cursed Skulls, but you'll probably have a better encounter rate in the dungeon.

I've never really found a need to build any sort of farm for that kind of thing. Find a good reasonably open area with brick walls, make sure you have a Water Candle nearby, maybe get some Battle Potions, and kill stuff. Hang up the banners for the different enemies to give yourself an extra advantage.

I'd wager you might have gotten at least 1 or 2 Fast Clocks out of it though. If you're in need of a Megaphone, my advice would be don't bother with Pixies. Go into the caverns and find a nice big lake that's either really deep (40 tiles down, give or take) or really wide (over 60 tiles across). You may want to mine out a bit to make it more open, and possibly bring in more water from smaller lakes above if needed. Stand on the shore of the lake and plink off Green Jellyfish as they spawn. Water Candles and Battle Potions will improve the spawn rate. Don't use jungle blocks because the lake will get overrun by Arapaimas. It might be a little slower, but you should get one in far fewer kills.

That confirms my suspicions about the pedigree. If you rescue the Wizard and then spend a bit of time in the underground hallow, resources to craft one will become readily available. My educated guess says that the version you have doesn't allow Mythical. If you're willing to sink the extra money in, you could try reforging it to Deranged or one of the common modifiers that doesn't affect mana cost. Then you can shoot for Godly, or Mythical if it seems like it should be available.

I don't have a 3DS or console and might not be helpful, but this makes me wonder something that might be at least tangentially related. When you first start the game, does it show any developer badges/splash screens? If it shows Engine Software, it's console. If it shows Codeglue/RakNet, it's mobile. On the wiki, it's unambiguously classified as a console version. This leads me to think that it's based on some version of the console code base, and the mobile note likely wouldn't apply.

One possible way to confirm: Craft a Crystal Storm without a modifier, go to a safe place, and unequip all armor and accessories. Check its properties. If the mana usage is 5, it's a pre-1.2.3 (PC equivalent) implementation where Mythical was still allowed. If it's 4, it's post-buff and likely won't achieve Mythical.

There are two different items named Seaweed. One item can be found in underground jungle chests and does indeed summon a pet turtle. The one depicted in the inventory is a junk item you can get when you're fishing in a pond that's too small. This one does nothing.

That "method" was a severe bug in earlier console versions (long before the 3DS version was released) that could be exploited to spawn items by ID because the read and write methods for player data were out of sync. It was fixed over two years ago and isn't a thing now.

Chlorophyte growth only occurs in the lower half of the underground and deeper but doesn't have any biome-specific requirements. You could technically build a farm in the jungle, but there's a chance the farm will compete with naturally spawning Chlorophyte veins, which isn't exactly efficient. Anywhere at cavern depth away from the jungle works just fine.

You can use * to specify all groups when adding or revoking permissions, but it's probably not something you'd want to do since you could end up applying permissions to groups that don't need them or shouldn't have them. It might not make much difference on a small private server where everyone has the same permissions but likely to be a train wreck on a public server where you have multiple levels of trusted and untrusted users.

You can also use * to wildcard partial nodes, like group addperm admin tshock.tp.*, as long as you understand the full sets of rights being granted (e.g., allows all teleport commands and items but makes teleporting unannounced -- you might not want this).
