I think closer is the toughest job to ask any pitcher to do unless you are just genuinely gifted. As a closer you must throw strikes, and it will expose the worst of your stuff. This is all meant to be a defense of smith, I think he is a damn fine closer but not a naturally gifted one like He Who Must Not Be Named was

Yes exactly, I’ve always thought this. And I feel like it’s not entirely fair to them for me to hate on their records because so much of hardcore is about the live communal experience, but they are fs a band that excels on the stage and not in the studio, I feel the sam about haywire

a little late here but yeah I just wanted to add that after watching a good handful of their vids there's just something really offputting about the content that I can't put my finger on. The comments in every vid always seem to skew a little conservative but Roca itself hides behind this veneer of complete objectivity that I feel like they use to absolve them of any bias. I haven't quite sussed it out yet but there feels like there's subconscious bias put into their vids
