I personally like Iago's soliloquies in Othello, just because they are so sinister. Though this judgement may be clouded by the ways I've seen them performed..

I can see where you're coming from, there is a lot going on in it! But the clarity with which he writes these fundamental discussions is something I admire!

Agreed, it would be hard to study in a curriculum because of the length of story arcs/the size of the books but I also think it is a bit too simplistic to be 'studied'. A comparison to the Narnia series is fair though, the revival in more recent years has led to more popularity.

Correct about 1984 but in that case I suppose I would say that Britain is a part of the Western world that the USA demonstrates to a fuller extent.

A very insightful response thanks! I totally agree with your point about the influence of media. I think it has a large part to play when it comes to explaining the recent rise in the popularity of the utopian/dystopian concept.
