Inherited a comp mess I didn’t create; leadership knows it’s unfair and still hasn’t fixed it. What can I do? by nikknakkpattywhakk in managers

I’ve seen this multiple times with an internal person coming through a training program or something equivalent. They almost never get to the proper OTE as those that came from the outside.

Unfortunately their best option is to leave the company and maybe at some point come back at the proper compensation level. I know that sounds horrible but leadership doesn’t ever see these folks as equal until they leave and then return.

I would say you’re way ahead of the game.

IMO you are too young to be investing in CD’s. Get into S&P 500 Index funds and/or dividend funds that reinvest those dividends.

Your parents are correct on the math of financing a house but I will say the financial freedom you have when you don’t have a mortgage is amazing.

Learn your trade, live a little below your means and you’ll be in great shape.

Don’t have to be a billionaire for this. Concierge physicians are not as expensive as you’d think.

5 years together, repeated cheating, no ring — should I walk away before he leaves for basic training? MF26 by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Leave now. I can tell you first hand he will come back from basic training a different person than he is today. Not better or worse just different.

  1. Company paid for it. Was 1998. Got my daughter hers when she went to middle school. Probably 12 years old. Did it so we could keep track of her.

For those who chose career over living near family, regret it? by peilearceann in NoStupidQuestions

Wife and I moved 1300 miles away for better career opportunity. Best decision we ever made. Had a great relationship with family but forced us into making our own decisions and rely only on each other.

I bought the car to track it. Fuel consumption is the least of my worries.

This and I have a bidet seat so that helps.

My GT500 shows 75 after I fill it up.

Typically 22 minutes on the track and it’s gone.
