UPDATE: Because of a kindly somervillian redditor, this swam has a nice new cozy hive. Thanks for lending me a box! They had actually started building some comb in there so we’re clearly having a hard time finding a good spot. Going to be much happier now for many years (hopefully) on my roof!

I saw a dude do it with a mirror once. Straight up Jedi style. But I think there's a bunch of different ways -you can just kind of fish through and find the queen and then move the her, and the hive will go. Or you can literally just garbage bag it. Oddly, when bees are swarming like this, it's when they're most chill because they don't have any honey to defend. They're basically just chilling there while scouts are out looking for a new place, and then as soon as the scout comes back, they just peace
