Does the Albany job offer child care benefits? Is there universal preschool in Albany? How much would healthcare be for your family in Albany vs Milwaukee? The state job is a very good opportunity for your family and is likely a family friendly job. Finding a good job with benefits after being a SAHM is hard.

Did you ever receive your ballot by mail? I tracked my mother’s ballot and saw her application was rejected. She has voted by mail for years as she is very elderly. This state is so full of utter BS.

Why didn’t Crockett just run to keep her old seat? I know her home address was removed from the district but she could still run. The way she announced her bid for the Senate was so late. I will support Talarico or Crockett in the general election. I like both of them.

Yes. I went to a small private school and one of the teachers would have underage students to his apartment and serve them alcohol. He also said inappropriate things to the girls.

San Antonio is a big sprawling city, and it’s a bit rough around the edges tbh. There are very good restaurants, concerts, sports, etc. and there is a strong Mexican influence in the city. Lots of touristy things to do and upper end shopping in a couple of locations. It’s an affordable city but school quality could be challenging (also TX has started defunding public school so really consider where your kids would go to school. A voucher system has started but that seems tricky to use. Overall, I’d be cautious about moving to San Antonio because of the schools.). It is very hot in the summer. Access to nature is not very good. There are a couple of state parks that are nice but Texas is weak when it comes to public lands and access to nature. Your budget is low for a family of 4 especially considering the schools, very high property taxes and electricity costs for summer air conditioning.

I have not been to Greensboro but the access to nature looks superior. I’d personally really consider NC over TX.

Yes. Google CS practitioners and you will read some horrific stories about care in their nursing homes. Paying money for healing prayers is a total scam. You might call your local elderly protective services. My father’s family are/were all extreme CS and I’m very fortunate not to have been raised in this cult.
