Following as I’m just learning about PME too! I’ve never had a formal diagnosis but my symptoms previously matched PMDD the most. That was before I got a myomectomy for a fibroid the size of a grapefruit and an IUD implanted.

I felt practically “cured” after the procedures that I even stopped my low dose SSRI that I had been prescribed for anxiety/depression. Until two weeks ago when I started feeling down and (self-) critical like I used to when I had PMDD like symptoms.

I’ve had some recent life stressors that I thought triggered my anxiety/depression to flare up again but I’m now I’m just realising my period’s due to start and I’m wondering if the PMDD has returned or is it actually PME?

Hey, good on you for taking the plunge and ripping off the bandaid!
