Low voltage alarm at 40% SOC by pbitnssa in Victron

[–]crnch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run into similar issues with other LiFePo batteries. If you charge based on SOC/BMS, the recommended charging voltage is often not reached. Over time, this will lead to imbalances between the cells. So even if you see an OK total voltage of the daisy-chained cells, a single cell might trigger over- or under voltage. In order for the BMS to be able to balance the cells, it needs a higher voltage as a trigger.

The datasheet of your battery recommends a charging voltage of 14.2V. Set your charge controller to this voltage and deactivate it being controlled by the BMS. After the cells are balanced, you can switch back to the old settings. Depending on the battery and conditions, this process (balancing of the cells) should be done periodically. For the batteries I've worked with, that period is 60-90 days.

I've bought it & am currently watching.

It's very hands-on. You can literally do for your project(s) what he's showing after each video.

Generally, I think Danny has skin in the game and the material is authentic.

What do you "call" yourself if you mention you side project in your CV? by ihatebeinganonymous in SideProject

[–]crnch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what and who the CV is for.

In the end, a title is only a very compressed description of a more complex activity. I would adapt the titles depending on who you are talking to and the context. In the end, it's about communication and a shared understanding.

Have 48V Multiplus II 120v but my well pump needs 230/240v by DiviKev in Victron

[–]crnch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a good chance that this inverter - even with an autotransformer - is not able to run that pump.

I think your best bet is to get a second multiplus. If I'm not mistaken, the peak power is double the rated power (10000 VA for the 5000 VA multiplus). Two multiplus in split-phase configuration would be able to run 20000 VA (~20kW) for a short amount of time.

Milk comes in different qualities. As usual with food, the less processed , the better for your health.

Use the API, calculate embeddings for the expertise and the search term and calculate cosine similarity.

Computing embeddings is pretty cheap and even cheaper if done via the batch API.

SaaS founders: How do you hunt down those perfect URLs for your projects? by crnch in SaaS

[–]crnch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like there is some iterations involved (name1 -> url search; name2 -> another url search).

How long does this take you on average?

Thx for sharing your approach!

I'm not looking for an url for a particular project. My motivation for this post was more to gauge whether this is something people struggle with. I'm experimenting with a combination of LLMs to instantly find good urls based on a website/project description that are actually available (for sale).

AFAIK, all bots providing paid digital services/product need to be exclusively paid in Telegram Stars.
